My daddy still has his own garden today and every year he prepares his fresh veggies and raised garden pots. Their ground is too rocky to have it in the ground. This is a very beautiful layout. It never ceases to amaze me how mixed media does not have to be dark and dreary. You’ve done a great job.

Thank you Margaret! Oh neat re the raised pots.. that is good too so you don't have to bend over so much.. as we get older our backs can't take it!

Thank you re the Mixed Media.. I don't care to scrap dark and dreary... if the kit is a dark subject I usually scrap it positively :) I like happy :) Thank you so much for your wonderful comments :)

I adore the photo of your mom in her garden, what a treasured memory. I love the blending, love your journaling, and the layout is wonderful. I have plans to start seedlings today, thank you for this.

Picking green beans was something we did in our small town to earn summer play money. It wasn't every day, but my mom would take us to a field and whatever we earned we got to spend at the county fair! Thanks for bringing back a memory!

What a beautiful photo to have of your Mom, Christa. I loved reading your journaling, and also remember helping my Mom (and grandmother) at harvest time. I think it is one of those tasks that were expected of us as kids, but also nurtured a love for gardening. Love the design of your page. The "pottering around" title is perfect for that beautiful photo of your Mom. Wonderful memory and page. :)
