Would love to hear what you think about "the captain"

I love the captain so far! I wasn't so sure at first, but I'm on part three and I love how he very dryly says whatever he's thinking. I'm at the part where Nick is describing the one guy that was found covered in stab wounds and the captain just said "that sounds like an ulcer". I like that he doesn't seem to be playing a part, he's just kind of a no-filter guy.

I am not sure if it's available in the US, but "Grownups Read Stuff They Wrote As Kids." I have a friend who's on there reading from her 14 year-old diary. It's sooo great, and I think a really great reminder for parents about the way we were, once.

I'll have to check that one out! My friend and I went to lunch on Friday and were discussing what we wrote in our diaries from middle school and high school.

If you are a fan of the TV show, The West Wing, the podcast The West Wing Weekly is a really good one. It is co-hosted by a fan of the show and by a cast member (Joshua Malina). Each podcast episode is a discussion of an episode in the series, and they often have guests who worked on the show in some capacity. It's one of my favorite podcasts!

I loved The West Wing! But I haven't watched it in years... is it one to listen to only if you've recently seen the episodes or does it matter?

So many great suggestions @KayTeaPea! I'll have to check them out. I love watching shows about the paranormal... hadn't thought to look for podcasts on that subject.

@Tree City I just wanted to drop in and say that 36 questions is so fun! I'm through 2 of the 3 parts and I can't wait to hear the ending. I also wish there was another podcast musical because this has been so fun to listen to!

They do a short synopsis of the episode at the beginning, to let you know what the episode is about. I've only watched the series once -- it took me almost six years to watch it all -- but I haven't had any trouble following along with the discussions.

Yea, I'm so glad you like it! I was worried about mentioning it because it's not what many would normally even consider a "podcast," but it's so good I had to mention it. Enjoy the third act!

I love podcasts - listen every day to one or another.

My favourite is No Such Thing as a Fish - it's British by the people behind QI - very funny. They are touring here this year and we are going to see them at The Sydney Opera House - should be fun!
I listen to Stuff You Should Know all the time. Also This Paranormal Life - very funny.

*Adult content warning* I have just started to listening to My Dad Wrote a Porno (rude but not hardcore)- I laughed so much I cried - it is the only podcast I insisted my husband listen to because it is so funny.Unfortunately I can only listen to it when he is around so I can't binge listen...

I love listening to Podcasts!!! Here are the ones I'm currently listening to...

Beware, these teenagers can be a little salty, but Naomi listened to it, and her reaction was, "Hey, so, were you like a teenager at some point?"

This one sounds super fun.

I know! He cracks me up - at first he drove me crazy, but I've grown to love him. :)
