January 18: Recipe (Random Challenge)

1. Solid background (Black BG)
2. 1 Big Photo - (Added)
3. 1 or more shapes of your choice (Octagons with papers to fill them in)
4. 1 or more word arts (2-word arts added)
5. 1 scatter (scatter of sequins)
6. 3 or more elements of your choice - (Stitches, Caution tape, paint circles)
7. Shadow, journal, date or title if you want - NOTHING ELSE PLEASE! (Shadows added, journaling added)

[Today your challenge is to cook up a layout following my MOC recipe.
  1. Sprinkle on ONLY 1 scatter. (FYI: Paint is NOT a scatter).]

I need some help please, ANY ONE!
Any ideas or suggestions for a scatter for a page with a giant photo of the Colosseum in Rome??? I can think of stars and sequins as scatters but not what to put with this? Anyone? (And where to get it?) I'm not a 'scatter user' usually.

check out all the "Sprinkles" by Valorie Wibbens. There are tons of packs in the store and they almost always include some kind of scatter.

Maybe one of these?
if fall season:

butterfly scatter

perhaps some glitter or something from:

It was Summer, BIG bright blue sky, but thank you. Maybe the last one might work.

Sorry I've been at my DDs performance tonight. But I answered you on my profile. You can clip a paper to a scatter already have to make it match your layout. Or you can make your own scatter by sizing an element small and then randomly placing copies. Hope that makes sense.

I thought this would be so quick and simple. But no, took me hours because I changed the luggage tag twice! For the date and the city! Was tricky! LOL The master of photo shopping titles! :) I've left the journalling for tomorrow's page as I'm going to do tomorrow's challenge to match this page! :D

Top off your layout with 3 or more elements in addition to what you have already added, but remember you can ONLY have 1 scatter and 1 photo TOTAL on your layout.

Can you confirm that if I want to go crazy and have more elements it is OK? I would say my elements would be flowers, leaves, ribbons

Thanks for the recipe.
1 or more shapes (green circle and colorful flower)
3 or more elements (lights, flower, foliage, button)
1 solid paper
1 big photo
1 wordart
1 scatter (confetti)

Yes you can add as many elements as you want.

ETA: Glad you went ahead and added as many as you wanted. Your layout looks fabulous. I need to go add this question to the second post. I forgot to earlier.

Thank you for the fun challenge and for the Speed Scrap chat, despite the fact that I didn't remotely make it for the deadline :blush How dare life get in the way of scrapping! Pretty sure I got everything, my shapes are the banners and I think everything else is obvious:

Recipe requirements and my take:
1. Solid background - must still be able to see some of it when your layout is complete. - Solid gray paper
2. 1 Big Photo - Check
3. 1 or more shapes of your choice - Triangles, filled with paper
4. 1 or more word arts - Dream Come True
5. 1 scatter ONLY - Stars and Beads scatter
6. 3 or more elements of your choice - The shapes, word art and scatter do NOT count as one of your 3 elements. - Flower, 2 buttons
7. Shadow, journal, date or title if you want - NOTHING ELSE PLEASE! - Date on tab, 3 scraps of paper with journaling.
