Who uses 2 monitors?

@AliSarah Sarah, I think you are the only one who mentioned keeping PS on the right and your supplies on the left. I wonder if you are left handed? just curious.

I have two monitors and seriously can't imagine ever using just one anymore. I do Artisan on my left, larger monitor and use my laptop for displaying kits, looking through templates, choosing photos, etc. along with watching Netflix while scrapping.

My husband has four monitors at work. (!)

OH! and one more thing... I didn't want both monitors sitting on my desktop eitehr so I took off the stands and mounted them straight my wall! :) I LOVE that. I found some pretty inexpensive brackets and my hubby mounted them to the wall and I screwed the monitors to those. I love being able to adjust them separately AND I have my entire desk top free. :)

I'm not sure if these are the exact brackets but they look very similar.
I like those brackets but I'm confused: how did you attach it to your monitor? I have an HP 21.5" monitor that I keep swearing I'll set up as a second monitor for my laptop...but I don't want to leave it out on the desk where the kids can reach it. Anyway, the bracket would solve that problem (because the monitor would be more UP), plus I can make it a nice eye level for me. But I don't see any mounting screw holes on my monitor. Did you have to, like, DIY something, or is my monitor just old lol, so I should buy a new one with mounting capabilities?

I'm not Sarah but I have my main program (PSP) on my right monitor with Picasa on the left. I am right handed. My reasoning for this is that my desk is set up with the monitor area (have a shelf unit) is on the left side of the desk with shelves to the right of it. Thus to have a 2nd monitor, it has to be to my left which is where my 2 drawer filing cabinet sits with the monitor on top of it.

My desk is close to 30 years old so was not built for 2 monitors! But I love it and it is still in great shape so I don't want to get rid of it just yet. I haven't found the right setup to replace it because I'm super picky about it!

I was able to remove the base on both of my monitors and that usually has a standard 4 holes pattern that matches the holes on the bracket. My old 19" monitor that I bought about 12 years ago has those holes even, so I'm guessing it's very likely your monitor does as well. One of my monitors has a little button that I press and the whole base just snaps off (the newer one). The older one has four screws holding the base on that I took out and then reused those screws to attach to the bracket. Hope that makes sense.. :)

My monitor's attachment for its built-in stand is almost flush with the bottom, not the middle, of the back. And it's not a square shape but like a long, narrow isosceles trapezoid. (And yes, I looked up the type of trapezoid lol!) There's no way I could get a wall mount to work. Bummer.

But on the plus side, this got me looking at other monitors, and I found a Dell 23" one on clearance for $109 from $179. I think I'm just going to upgrade to that cuz we're probably going to get a desktop for the kids. They can take my old, non-wall-mountable monitor lol!

Ah bummer that your monitor didn't have the mounting holes, but that's fun that you found a good deal on a new one! :) I couldn't believe how much I loved having mine mounted to the walls after I did it. It just took me a minute to get over the idea of screwing into the walls permanently I guess. I hope you love it too! Having the whole desktop free is awesome!

Nope!! I use a wacom tablet on the right, so for whatever reason, the left seems like the extra space while the right seems more like the center to me...

Huggles!!
