Desktop | Pad Patter 10.8.17

My home laptop desktop is a fireworks photo from Disney (surprise surprise). My work one is super organized. I made it in Photoshop and will uoad it to the gallery when I get home. (=

@michelepixels Great background. Castiel is awesome.

For a long time I changed my background monthly with one of the free backgrounds from Smashing Magazine. But recently I have the generic Windows backgrounds that change to different landscapes.

That is pretty crazy! My son was also obsessed with pi when he was a bit younger. One of his social media monikers was quest4pi! That sounds like something he would do when I went to sleep on March 31. I have some of my favorite LO's in a rotation as my wallpaper. I probably need to change some of them so I get some new ones. I have some icons but not too many. More than you, but still not all over the screen!

I change my desktop almost every week and the image is almost always centered or fit to screen but NOT filling all 27". I put up my layouts or ones I find on line, seasonal images, or funny quotes that I've made into background-less pngs. My dh has a 15" MacBookPro and has a slightly busy photo of the tide gone out in Alaska. And THEN, he has icons all over in no kind of order on top. A perfect example of a horrible hot mess. It makes me ill to look at it...but then that's how his desk is. Me, the icons are orderly on the right and they will get back to one column today with things from DSD being deleted. Sadly, the table/desk my computer is on is rarely that neat. I don't know what that's about other than I don't leave this room at the end of a 'work day'.

btw, on Saturday of this DSD here, there were three filled columns on the right with all the images etc needed for uploading to be linked. I finally just made a Bingo Folder cause I was sure I'd miss one otherwise. :blush

Oh, my...that makes me so anxious!!! I can't handle a busy/cluttered desktop.

I try to change my desktop wallpaper out every month. I usually offer it as a free download on my blog. I'm behind this month because I had some blog issues that I just got resolved.

Here's what my desktop looks like right now:

My desktop is just a default 'beaches' that changes periodically. SO relaxing though- and I'm also one that can't have a bunch of stuff on my desktop! For my coupons & notes- I use the sticky tabs I can open when needed or minimize the rest of the time! :)

I usually have a coupon folder too but I didn't do much designer playing the past couple of months so I tended to spend my TLP coupon more quickly! :stash

When I 1st started scrapping, I would make desktop calendars with my kids' pictures. Now I just have the standard Lenovo background. One time I accidentally dragged a stapled star onto my background, while I was scrapping. For the longest time, I had a Kim Jensen stapled star as my desktop background.

Like most of you, my desktop is very minimal. I use the rotating themes from Windows so they change almost every day. I go and pick themes I like at the moment there is some pretty flowers.

I have double monitors and there are NO icons on the right, on the left there are only the main ones I use.

A desktop filled up with icons makes me want to stab my eyes out. I can't handle it.

Same!!

That is super cute!!

Okay, not TLP art, but here is what it is at the moment. I change the calendar every few weeks. I change the background every few months. The icons are the programs, file folders, and files that I use the most. The items on the right are my goals for the year.

Mine is plain ol' black. Most of my icons are to the left. Then my older girls each have their own icon on the top row for school related stuff. I used to change it out with personal pictures...but I got lazy a few years ago. Haha!

LOL to the minimalist on you!!!!!!!!
For years, since 2009 when we came back from South America, I had a photo we took from the car when in a sea side city, that part of the trip we went to see a friend of mine we had not seen each other for 24 years, and her second daughter is Sarita's age. Her husband is Italian, so they were for years in Italy but I had no idea, nether she that I lived in London.
So that photo, taken from her car in the city they now live in, was precious and brought me great memories.
Then I changed for a while to a photo of my parent's honey moon - I was annoyed with Sarita so I didnt want her photo there :rofl
Last year when I bought the new iMac, the screen is a gorgeous photo of some rocky mountains, in the USA I'm pretty sure, and I haven;t changed it...I remember when we used to have Desktop Challenges every month, I made them, but never used them!!!!
You just may have awaken my need for finding a new image :)

oh as for icons, I try to have as little as possible, another thing that annoys me is when the trash basket is full, so I keep emptying!!!

@IntenseMagic Oh my... that would make me crazy. I don't mind a few things on my desktop but that would make my eyes all fuzzy!!!

@dailydwelling Monica, that is so freaking cute!!!

For the longest time, I had a Kim Jensen stapled star as my desktop background.
Bahaha!! That is so funny! Was it all stretch out or a cute little star in the middle?

another thing that annoys me is when the trash basket is full, so I keep emptying!!!
Well, I emptied mine earlier today, so not sure what is in it in my screenshot, but I will go and empty it now, just for you :heartlub

Here is mine. This has been my picture for at least a year now. It was the most stylish Pokemon picture I had ever seen and I loved it, haha!! I used to do the desktop challenges too, but just didn't do them this year. I was thinking of putting my latest scrap page on there, to keep me inspired, but I just don't know. I love the simplicity of this one, haha!!

The icons are a little out of control for me at the moment, especially being a bit scattered like that. There are lots of things from when hubby had to use my computer, and just the simple fact of not a lot on-the-computer time for me lately. I will get to that sometime. There is usually a web page hiding it anyway!

So no one is claiming or admitting to a totally cluttered desktop??? :compcoffee

As much as I get the 'stab my eyes out' feeling from my dh's desktop, he gets a lot of work done from that mess and earns us the $$ to live on. And he can find stuff on that unorganized pit! to each his/her own.
