You've ever done?

When we were in high school, we used to car surf. I was too scared to do it, but I watched my friends do it! They would hang onto the car hood by the wipers. And then someone else would drive about 5MPH, swerving and try to knock you off.

In retrospect, what a crazy, insane game to play. And yet, we did.

How about you? Anything Outrageous to share today?

At the advice of counsel, I invoke my fifth amendment right. Bwahaha, only kidding! :) I wish I had something to share but I actually didn't do a lot of outrageous stuff. The worst I did was practice parallel parking in my drive way and accidentally hit my mom's pretty Monte Carlo with my crappy first car. My parents gave me the car a few weeks before my 16th bday, and I thought practicing the one thing I wasn't confident in was a good idea. I was wrong. But it just popped off a little piece in the door. It's not like I totaled it, thankfully!

When I worked with horses and lived on site. We would sneak the horses out of their stables after dark and ride them with no saddles around the field - including jumping the fences. We had to ride with no saddle or bridle as it was all locked away in the tack room. The horses loved it and the owner never found out. I must have been around 19 and it was one of my happiest times. I don't know if it counts as outrageous, but it was quite dangerous lol :giggle

We used to do all kinds of crazy stuff with cars and trucks and atvs when I was younger (in the country, on the back roads), but probably the most outrageous thing I ever did was going streaking through a cemetery :giggle. I'm so glad I grew up before cell phone videos and social media were a thing!!

Okay ladies, BRACE yourself, sit down.. get a fan ready because what I'm about to reveal IS TOO HOT AND OUTRAGEOUS FOR PRESS!!!

... I ate dessert before dinner. Like.. three days ago!!

I know, I know.. I'm OUT of control. At least I'm admitting my problem, right? <3

I jumped off a cliff into the ocean near La Jolla Cove (San Diego, CA). I was with my college boyfriend and there were several other young adults jumping when we arrived. I wasn't going to at first but after my boyfriend went, I decided to follow.

So apparently, yes ... if my friends jumped off a cliff, so would I. :giggle

DOH!! I cannot remember where my friend and I were walking to and from (this was before we could drive, and our parents didn't give us rides, so we pretty much hoofed it everywhere) but we had to go through the the town of Guadalupe TWICE...just trust me, this wasn't the area for two young girls who were 13/14 to be alone without an adult. We only did it the one time!!

While living in Tehran (during the Revolution days), I decided to do something I had done in London various times. Take any bus to the end of the line for sight seeing, and then just take the same bus back. Great idea in most cities.

In Tehran the bus was going North towards the mountains and I thought that would be pretty. While I could speak a good bit of Farsi I could not read anything except a couple of alphabet letters so no I really didn't know where I was going. This is during a time when militants walked the streets with weapons and bodies were often found hanging over fences. But I was young and thought ...what can happen to me???

The ride was fine, then the paved major road gave way to a smaller neighborhood type road til it gave way to a dirt road and no more houses. We eventually arrived at a village and everyone left got out. I was kind of stunned but in my limited language skills asked the driver about a bus back to Tehran. He kept shaking his head and finally said Farda which I knew. Tomorrow. He locked the bus and walked away off into the hills. Thus I started my long, long walk back into Tehran, in neighborhoods where I stood out like a sore thumb. Several miles and several hours I was finally back to an area where I saw buses going into the city. I knew I had pushed a limit that was not at all wise but I had done it, survived but did not tell my husband where I had been all day. He's still not heard this story but as he's my xh I doubt he'd care.

I have to admit I have skinny dipped before.... more than once....

But! It was a private area and I had no fear of being seen!

Wow! THAT is daring! I'm so glad you didn't have anything happen.... but what a cool thing to do with the bus to the end of the line. You're a brave gal!

@cookingmylife Dang girl.

Let's see, when I was 13, I snuck out of my mom's house with a friend to meet two boys. Long story short, we were caught because a neighbor was having a party and it woke my mom up. When she found out that we were gone, she thought we were there. I was able to bust a gut laughing, telling her NO, that's not where we were, when the two boys arrived, flicking their lights at the house. Doh! Enter the longest, most boring, time of my high school years. LOL

I hope this is the scrap title for that page! I love it.

I've never done that with buses. Just subways. Because I know they have to go back! But now I want to do it with a bus. But not in Tehran. You are brave!

I loved reading about all your exploits - clearly I need to get out and explore more.
I walked with lions...for my 50th birthday, was totally safe the whole time though, afterall you don't have to be able to run the fastest, you just need to not be the last one. I am such a goodie two shoes and a rule follower.

I'm not sure I've ever written this story down. But I have told it a surprising number of times for such a spontaneous little thing in my life. Perhaps it should be a scrapbook page. Thanks for the idea! I will have to google images of the area and see if I can find a photo of the spot.
