..to those of you that can keep up with forums, social media AND everything else. You guys are SUPERHEROES.
Okay, so.. you guys have been with me through some of my not so great times.. I dropped hard into one of my super dark times the last few weeks. I've slowly been merging back upwards, it's been a truly hard haul but I've been fighting and trying to get back here.
But we had a company meeting last week. (was sick for two days after trying to recover.. but that's another story.) Anyway, at that, I got some SUPER exciting news and my first thought? I GOTTA HIT THE PAD AND TELL MAH GIRLS!!!! As you can see, it took me a bit, I'm trying to get everything into order.
So.. the news! Okay, my company has global connections and offices, it's pretty impressive. But a year and a half ago, I asked if we were ever going to look at Korea and told them about how my dream job is to be a cultural liaison for that country. I've been there, I listen to the music all the time, I listen to the language, I study.. not as hard as I should because dealing with my health has been... very very trying. But, I still focus when I can.
Anyway! Turns out on Wednesday one of the reps had sent an email to a potential client who works with a Korean company. He jokingly told the CEO's son (all three sons work with us and they're awesome!) that he had to be fluent in Korean in two days. Our IT guy who sits next to the office, reminded them that I spoke Korean (not as well as would be needed.. x.x). So! On Thursday, I talked to him and then reminded the CEO that this was my goal. They are keeping me in mind and if this blows up and we land it, chances are I'll be leaned on a bit.. They have someone right now who can translate a few things here and there, but if it becomes a constant, guess who's going to have her dream job?!??!
So. One of the other employees recommended that I start brushing off my social media and really getting things going for networking and whatnot "just in case." I've been trying very hard to do such.. it's EXHAUSTING. I'm sure I'll get into the swing of things, and now I'm gearing up to get myself in perfect position to slide into a spot if it opens. It's not definite, but very promising!!!
I'll be studying hard! Wanted to share though with my family so I had to come tell you guys! Thanks for being one of the positive aspects of my life! <3<3<3

And at times like these were I was struggling physically, I still tried to make it here when I could to help facilitate communications in the boards. I can't even tell you how relieved I was to find the Pad still here AND active and full of love and happiness! This is my little heaven, a safe place in this HUGE world where negativity can really weigh you down.
I love it here and you guys are AMAZING!
