So maybe it's just me, but pinterest keeps telling me about putting orange rind, cranberries and cinnamon sticks in a pot on the stove to make the house smell Christmasy! Do you do this or have some kind of 'it's the holidays' fragrance?
I'm more a Yankee Candle tart burner person (except when DH is home cos he can't stand it) but i don't have any of their christmas ones (i bought a pumpkin spice one but haven't used it yet - still using 'sun and sand'). There's a shop here called Dusk and they have a White Xmas one thats not surprisngly white and coconutty and nice this time of year. I honesty wouldn't know what a cranberry smelt like!

no we don't and we aren't candle people either. my youngest is a bit of a pyromaniac so we limit candle use.

LOL, oh I see those on Pinterest too, but no, I have never actually put all those ingredients in the pot ... although I have all the ingredients in the house. Maybe I'll try it! :)

I've seen the rosemary/lemon pot too - for a fresh clean smell.

I will sometimes do a seasonal candle when I remember.

@Celeste My son was always like that too. He's 16 now and he goes around blowing them out now ... so he can smell the smoke smell (he loves it) and so he can lite it again. I don't think that fire obsession every really goes away!!!

I used to buy tons of candles and have gotten away from it lately. I had one of those plug-in candle warmers that releases the fragrance of the glass cande jar that sits on it but then I heard of some blowing up and how dangerous they were so I stopped using it. I've always loved scents like cookie dough, gingerbread, apple cinnamon and citrusy types.

I love, love, love many of Bath and Body Works' Christmas scents! This year's favorite hands-down is their Gingerbread Latte. I have a ton of their candles and am actually burning a Cinnamon Caramel Swirl one right now. Basically anything from them that is Cinnamon, Caramel, or Cookie related is going to be a hit here!

i thought about the plug in ones but never tried any, sometimes too much choice is paralysing - didnt know about the dangers though- yikes!

hmm, clearly we haven't enterred pyromania territory yet around here - i'll take that as a warning and maybe at that stage i'll have to start simmering cinnamon sticks... i'm lucky if i can get the gas lighter started myself half the time

ok now i have another question - do u like to eat (or drink) gingerbread lattes? B/c i'm not a huge gingerbread fan so i dont know that smelling gingerbread throughout the house would be appealing to me... i wonder if we only like candles that are based on foods we like... i have a lime zest lemongrass one i like (and DH can tolerate) but i'm not a huge fan of limes really but dont hate citrus ...anyway, i have to stop thinking and go be productive!

I actually don't like to eat gingerbread at all! But I do love the candles! Same with coffee- can't stand to drink it, but love the smell.

I Also LOVE Bath and Body Works candles!!! We burn Winter. Fresh Balsam. Tis the Season. And Spiced Apple Toddy!!

I bought their Juniperberry & Pine and LOVE it, but my hubby didn't so it is in my craft room the scents in that one are Juniperberry, Holiday Cranberry, Snowcapped Pine, Peppermint

Yankee Candle's Pine one...forget the name as I didn't buy one this year - yet. However, Trader Jo's Pine one was great but pricey and is gone already.
