Sound of ???|Pad Patter 6.4

the sound of my computer. I think it´s the fan which is soooo loud.
And this year I recognized the first time that we have so much birds. I think it´s because of the neighbours which placed 2 bird houeses

James is playing an old video game on the computer, so there are lots of electronic background game music and gun sounds. Miller is next to me reading a Pokemon handbook, so I hear his cute voice reading off various descriptions and, "oh, I think you would like THIS Pokemon!" And "did you know there is a (insert some adjective) Pokemon?!"

12:30 a.m. here and only hearing the clicking of the computer keys that's it! OOPS, wait, the frig motor just kicked in so I can now hear that. Wanted to stay up and usher in my 77th birthday, which I have done so now it is off to bed with this old lady!!!!!

WOOT!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! :cheer

I can hear the sounds of multiple fans running -- box and ceiling -- (it's going to be a scorcher today!), and SpongeBob Squarepants on the TV, as well as the dryer. Aside from SpongeBob, it's quite relaxing.

I've got the tv on watching/listening to sports. Also got music on laptop playing. Helps to cover all the other noise here at the nursing home

I hear the fan above me and the ringing in my ears. Darn tinnitus. But I'm not hearing the baby monitor cuz DH took that tonight. (We sleep in separate rooms. He snores and I'm a light sleeper.)
oh I have tinnitus too, right now is quiet... so that I don't consider it a sound, am so used to is part of my life...my silence includes that LOL but I have days which is so loud, so piercing... I'm glad now I can listen to music while i do things in the computer....

ohhh how I'm sooo glad Sarita's sponge bob's days are over!!!! LOL

The HVAC units of the school behind my house. I hear it 24/7... sigh.
:( we used to have a school across the road, so I hear your pain!!!!!

is surprisingly quiet now here.... 01:00 am and I can't hear anything apart from the keyboard sound.....

My hubby is singing a gibberish song about poop to our little boy and he is singing back, a kids dvd menu screen is on in the background and it is repeating the same song every 30 seconds or so, AND my sister is humming to her own music.

gale force winds sounds are pretty dominant right now (it's been that and pelting rain since friday - our a/c and fan havent been on in over a month, i dont miss the bills but i miss the weather) but the radio's on for updates mostly so theres that too - i'd usually have a book or music going on my ipod -and the whirr of the washing machine and dishwasher, cos y'know, life

It's doesn't always bother me but when I answered this question I had just gotten into bed and I noticed it. IDK why, but sometimes being in bed makes it worse. Perhaps because the sounds of the day are all quiet, so I just have a chance to pay attention to the ringing?

I believe I have tinnitus, but still need to get it checked out. I just learned that it is a thing. I *always* hear what I could say sounds like the ants on the tv screen - that weird screen when the channel wasn't available when I was a kid type sound. It's low, and changes from ear to ear, as well as the sound changes sometimes. Cynthia and Sara... how did you get diagnosed? @MrsPeel, @Tree City

Currently.... the soccer game between Mexico and I believe Uruguay... it just tied up.

wait for it.... I HEAR SILENCE!!! It's a Miracle! lol! :D Hubby & DD just left for the store & my son is playing at the neighbors. I purposely have turned off the tv so I hear NOTHING! :whistle oh wait- the sprinklers just kicked on so I can hear those going- but that's kind of relaxing!

@jk703 i believe, here anyway, you go to the local doctor (general practitioner) and they refer u to an audiologist for a hearing assessment
For me, my general practitioner diagnosed me; however, since I didn't plan on doing anything about it there was no need to see a specialist. Now that I'm done having children, I'd love to check out some treatments. I'm pretty sure my tinnitus was caused was a bad car accident I was in when I was a tween (IF the cause is damage to my inner ear). Also, it sure doesn't help that I grind my teeth. So perhaps I should try Botox in my jaw to stop from grinding my teeth, which might then help the ringing in my ears. Who knows?

I'm way to late this thread, it's now Monday and I'm at the office. I'm hearing my space heater at my feet(cuz it's always cold in here, even in the Summer) and a lawn mower outside my window. That sums up my world right now. :-)
