Do you ever have an inside joke or play some sort of awful-gift or other kind of tag with your friends, co-workers or loved ones?

Last week, I had to print out pics for Kennedy to take for Star of the Week. I printed one of his dad (even though I cringed as I did it). It ended up not fitting on the poster, so I had to print a smaller one. That meant I had a leftover photo and decided to pick on my daughter. We really can't stand Kennedy's dad. We are always polite to him, but really dislike him. He's just been awful, threatened to kill himself if he had to pay child support, and didn't want to have anything to do with Kennedy until 18 months ago. He has never been nice to Jessica. He's extremely socially awkward and weird which just makes it worse. It is difficult and we like to whine a lot in secret because one of us always has to deal with him now that he's decided to be part of Kennedy's life (on a regular basis). Anyway, being sneaky, I cut out Cody's face and taped it to my daughter's steering wheel when she was inside doing something. She was totally grossed out, so then she took it and attached it to my rear-view mirror. I didn't say anything about it, but I took it and put it inside of her CPAP mask. LOL. I thought that was genius. She found it late that night. I was literally laying in bed, giggling when she went in to go to bed. In return she put it in the corner of my laptop screen, so then I found it and put it on the back of her badge for work. She put the lanyard over her head, but didn't see it! Score! She finally saw it when she got to work and had to clock in through security. She brought it home and had taped it on the top of the Coke she brought me after work. Next, I taped it to the back of her debit card. So she upped her game and took my phone when I wasn't looking, snapped a pic of the pic, and used it as my phone wallpaper. LOL. Now she's put the picture somewhere, so I'm trying to find it. If I don't find it, I was thinking about printing an 8x10 for her and putting that on her pillow.

Yes, that is why I put "grown-up" in quotes... we're so immature. LOL. It is more challenging to keep it hidden from Kennedy, but the good thing about it is that she was telling her co-workers how nice it was that I was trying to make her laugh when she'd been depressed for the past couple of weeks. And she made her boss smile, telling him about it, when he was in a bad mood yesterday. So it is juvenile, but entertaining. And I'm trying to figure out a way to document it for PL. LOL.

What about you? Have you ever sunk to that level?

Oh I'm sure I've done something similar. Maybe a bulleted list of places it got hid? Have to include that story somehow.

Arrows. You need to use arrows to document this.

Hubby and I have traded off scavenger hunts for gifts. And we have a horrible "jinx, owe me a soda" tally. Like, I owe 700+ sodas at this point. :giggle
Anyway, this is totally funny, in a horrible way. But yay for you making her laugh ;)

My husband and I are always betting one another a million dollars for whose right over some ridiculous argument. It's been going on so long we now argue over who owes who the million. Which of course we don't have anyway... But I'll bet you a million dollars he owes me!

This reminds me of my friend ..... I love brown, Purple, dark colours and the darker pinks, I have a really hard time with strong primary colours. She made me a bright yellow card with other primary colours , and watched me smile, say thank you and put it with my other ( lovely) cards on display .... nearly killing herself trying to hold the laughter down ,-she loves me really LOL
Now she is a bit OCD about things being straight and neat, also she has a numbers thing ( only even numbers of anything ) so in retaliation for the card I knitted her a stocking for her Christmas tree ( same pattern that she already has 12 of on her tree) I sewed it together crockedly, and it is a different shade too....Revenge is sweet. She hung it ( in the back up against the wall. )

DH steals my label maker (which I'm a bit possessive of lol) and writes "TURTLE!" with it (inside joke from a show called "Greg the Bunny") or he'll write "POOP" and he'll label random things. And a little backstory: I wrote "good" on a nice new pair of scissors so I knew I could use them on fabric and I wouldn't confuse them with an older pair of Fiskars and so DH knew not to use them on anything--I'm also possessive of my craft supplies rotfl. Well, guess what got both labels on them one day as well as a big "BAD" label (I write "BAD" on old scissors he's allowed to use)! I just laughed and left the labels on them. Recently he labeled his spice jars but he didn't make any silly labels for me... OH, I'm going to put POOP on the jars in retaliation for all his labels! :eg9 But I better make sure my labels come off without hurting his real ones. :flirty

I love it kimberlee! sounds like a healthy way to release some of the feelings you two have for him. It's adorable. And I agree it would make for a really fun page. :)

I love that so much, Kimberlee! Immaturity is our way of life :giggle I bought a small-ish chalkboard to hang in the kitchen, intended for things like a shopping list, but every little bit, the message gets changed to silly notes. You have to be sneaky and change them when no one is looking and wait for them to be noticed. It's usually something like "Morgan is a poo-poo face". There are lots of other little things, and we've had several notes and pictures that get passed around :P

More hide and seek than tag - back in the early 90's , we were very close to a couple that lived in the same city as us. They had a very unattractive yellow ceramic turtle, only small - fitted in the palm of your hand - and we decided to hide it on them. Then we moved. they came to visit bringing the turtle with them and hid it in our house. We eventually found it and when they moved towns, we visited them with turtle in hand and hid it at their place. We all thought that when they moved several times in a few years that he was lost forever but they managed to retrieve him so it began again.

Now whenever we visit each other's house, along comes the turtle... over 25 years and we've become very attached to the little yellow turtle!

Stickers were popular in the 1980s when my sister and I were teenagers. You know the part that's left after you've removed all the stickers? The part that surrounded the stickers and is also sticky? When one of us finished using all the stickers on a sheet, we'd peel off that surrounding part and stick it to something belonging to the other, like our pillowcase. :giggle

For a year or so my husband I took turns hiding a note for each other in random places. It was simply "I love you" in red marker on a small, torn yellow piece of paper. :heartlub

No, I have never done anything like this, but it sounds so fun!!! I could pull this off with my friend Angela. We've been friends for 13 years & work in neighboring departments. She has the best sense of humor. Actually, there was something a week or two ago. She messaged me a gif of some topless large man in leggings disco dancing & said the man kept calling for me. Then, we kept messaging back & forth different gifs & memes to keep the story going. It's nice to have someone at work to help pass the time.

On a side note--How did I not know your daughter's name is Jessica? :giggle

This cracks me up! :giggle I can't think of anything off the top of my head, but we like a good prank and it amuses all of us.

too funny - i think our elf on the shelf will be used for this thing in a few xmases time when he's officially retired ;)

We didn't get elves until the kids were past the elf on a shelf stage. Tuesday Morning always had these creepy looking elves around Christmas time, so Alex (my son) and I bought one randomly one day. He would hide it in Clara's room to freak her out (she was freaked out by the Tuesday Morning elves already, let alone finding one tucked in her bed at night). So, not to be outdone, little sister had to have an elf of her own to hide to scare Alex with. Good times. That's how we got Rubert and Holly Von Creepington. We now have a third one, just because. She doesn't get hidden, I just felt sorry for her. Her face got printed a little crooked and even at 90% off, no one would buy her, so I decided to give her a home :-)

Good names and great story! Our elves have been more cute than creepy IMHO but even the cute ones staring and smiling can be creepy! misprinted faces would freak me out more than the kids i think!

oh yes.
we had a lot of laughter with Sarita's dad with things like that, and with Sarita many many times.....
I'm not sure I want to document some of it as some seem a bit mean now looking back on it but you made me think...maybe I should find a way to document some of it... I have even pictures that will bring the memory back for us....

now on the immature? I think about the growing old is a given but growing up is optional.... I think keeping the inner child with stuff like this helps us getting through the not so nice stuff in life....
and juvenile? yeah, give me youth any time LOL
Love you Kim...the more I read and get to know you, the more I love you.... I have this clear picture of the first time I saw you and pages of yours in dig-land..... and I am so glad we are here in the same family :)
