Almost.... done.... organizing... my TLP stash!

Hooray for you getting organized Kristina! I'm so thankful that I started an organization method early on in my digi "career" and it sounds a lot like your method and I've been good about keeping up with it every time I download. Makes it so much easier to find thing when I am scrapping. :)

Kristina that's impressive. I have surges and for the most part I am now pretty up to date with getting rid of excess files and organising with folder previews and such like (a while ago I deleted the folder jpg and just kept the preview jpg which is why on so many I have to change the icons myself) I know better now! I did my last big organisation push before MOC which really helped.

I just use the windows explorer search function to pull up kit previews for a designer/store.

Could you batch rename them to folder.jpg? If they are all called preview.jpg, or something with "preview" in the name, for example, it should be easy to find them all and rename them. Bridge does batch rename, or if you don't have Bridge, I'm pretty sure there are some freeware batch renamers out there.

Update: all my entire stash is cleaned up and backed up to the second EHD. (I'd like a third... someday)
As of today, all my photos are backed up in two places, too. I have to reorganize them, then re-back up... but it is a huge step! :D

I need to get organized so I can find things. Right now I'll do a search for example for flowers if I need one. Problem is that the word "flower" is not on all flowers.

I think I need to read these posts again as I have time and try to get better organized.

I do have all my kits from here in a folder with "Lilypad." I am not on any CT's so I don't have to do that type of organizing.
