Any big plans for the weekend?

My youngest daughter and my DH are going to a Daddy Daughter dance tonight. She was so cute...she didn't even want him to see her dress ahead of time but told him he would need to wear a black tie. LOL I'm looking forward to having some good mamarazzi moments tonight. Since they're going to be out for the night, my best friend and I are getting together. Yay for relaxation and girl time! The weekend is pretty quiet - nothing major on the schedule except packing for a trip to Disney next week and church on Sunday. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Awww!! That is so sweet!!!! You have Disney coming up?? So jealous!!! :heartlub

Tonight is a varsity basketball game for my daughter, the cheerleader. Tomorrow, we have a speech tournament in San Francisco. (I have to carpool and judge.) I'm a little nervous about traffic and getting there. There are Super Bowl festivities happening in town and there's supposed to be a ton of people/traffic. We need to be at the school by 8-ish so I'm hopeful we don't run into issues. The drive home might be tough getting out of the city.

Sunday is about recovery (I'm not into the game so no parties or anything...)

Sunday is Shrovetide which is a bigger deal here, at least for kids. We've got a party to go to and I need to finish one of the costumes tonight. Plus D has her first ballet class, which she's pretty excited about.

We have a relaxing weekend planned. DH doesn't follow pro football but I'm sure the game will be on for a little bit. We've just got to pick up and get our guest room in order cuz my parents are coming for a visit soon and we should write out the kids' Valentine cards cuz those are due mid-week for their parties. I'm also hoping to find paczki here this weekend but I doubt I'll find any. Oh, I know our big weekend plan: draining our hot water heater. Apparently sediment can collect on the bottom and affect its efficiency/life span, so we're going to drain ours a bit. Yeah, be jealous of how jet-setting my life is... :giggle

We're up for a quiet weekend. DH is taking the three oldest boys to a local hockey game tonight so it'll just be me and the little guy. Church and SuperBowl on Sunday and I think that's all the plans. Really I should unpack the boxes that are still in storage from our rents but they've been there for a year now so I don't think they really need to be unpacked :)

You do realize that it's a foul to use the phrases "nothing major" and "trip to Disney" in the same sentence, right? :giggle I hope you have a fab time...and, please, TAKE ME WITH YOU!!

This weekend my husband is coming home from med school for spring break. Med school is weird- he gets a whole three days (next Mon-Wed) for spring break, and it's in February! But I'll be happy to have him here, in any case. We have a house that we used to rent out that we're getting ready to sell, so hopefully we'll finish that out while he's here. I also have some CT projects to work on for Lawn Fawn, so I foresee much stamping and coloring with copics, colored pencils, and watercolor markers in my future, as well, in preparation for making some cards.

Oh, and finally checking out with this massive BYOC cart that I have filled up!

I have a nail appointment Saturday - yay! And then I think we're doing late lunch at a local winery with some friends Saturday afternoon. Sunday we have NO plans, but it definitely doesn't include the superbowl! Oh, and somewhere in there some MOC tallies, and maybe some scrap time? Loving BYOC and MPM!

The girls had their teeth cleaned yesterday, and Roxy has 5 less teeth now, so a low key weekend for them too!

Have fun at Disney!!! I'm jealous, too!

It's my DH's birthday on Sunday, so I'll be getting ready for that. Otherwise, just working at the rink and getting my kids there for skating and work. And maybe cleaning the house. Argh.

@scrappyjedi - you are so right. LOL I rescind that statement. More properly... "I am so excited to pack for Disney this weekend!"

@mrs2a50 - seriously, your weekend always involves a winery. I have some serious jealousy about this. I wanna come!

Tonight I'll be grocery shopping for our Super Bowl Party (I like to live it up on Friday nights!). We also usually do ice cream and a movie with the kids. That will be fun.

Tomorrow it's yard work and cleaning.

Sunday it's church and then a Super Bowl Party.

I think they'll be some time to relax in there somewhere.

@lmccandless love Disney anything!
@enjoyyourpix My husband is a FedEx driver in the city. He says it's a nightmare right now. Be careful.
@mrs2a50 Are you in California? Wineries make me think of Napa.

Tomorrow, I actually get to do something fun. I work in a hospital. I was invited to Dermatology's party. We'll be at a paint studio with "liquid inspiration", then off to The Fish Market for lunch. I love The Fish Market! One of my closest friends will be there too, so I'm excited! Finally something without the kids. Hubby's not a football person, but he loves the ads. So, we'll probably watch most of the game. It's here in the Bay Area, so everything's been about Superbowl lately.

My son is coming home for a few days. He lives out of state and he's coming home to spend some time with us after his Dad's fall. I hate that he lives so far away so I'm really looking forward to seeing him. He gets in tonight and leaves next Wednesday morning.

Having dinner here tomorrow evening with him, my mom and my Grandfather who's in town. Then SB party at a friend's house.

Hoping everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Awww, father daughter dance @lmccandless, the photos should be adorable!

We've got a lot of little stuff going on. Chase stayed home sick today after throwing up about 4:00am, but honestly he seems fine now. At least he's eating us out of house and home, so I think that's a good sign. We have Taekwondo lessons tonight. Not sure if Chase will go, although he is supposed to test for his next belt tomorrow morning, so he could use the practice. Dad and Tate are doing a full day of merit badge forums for scouts tomorrow. And Saturday night, there is a game night for both the adults and kids at a neighbor and friend's home. I think that will be some quality me time at home!

Julie @mrs2a50 I'd be right there with you! Such gorgeous photo opportunities too… I'm truly envious!

@jesskab - Nope, eastern Washington. Washington State is actually second largest in the US in wine production, just behind California. I live in the Columbia Valley, and the Yakima Valley and Walla Walla Valley are both within an hour's drive. Between the three regions, there are easily 300 wineries. I have my work cut out for me!

Just some quiet family time for us. DD wants to set up her new fish tank and we want to get some geocaching in somewhere. Enjoy your weekend Lilypad Peeps :happydance2

Thanks!! We'll be coming in from the Bay Bridge and heading over by SF State/Stonestown Galleria for the tourney. Hopefully there won't be too much going on 7:00-8:00 am on Saturday morning. I will check the traffic on the way home and see if it's better to take the San Mateo Bridge and completely bypass downtown.

I go to SFSU. It hasn't been bad at all. All the Super Bowl stuff is deeper in the city. There's a cute little restaurant on W. Portal. It's Paradise Pizza & Pasta. It's simple & casual, but very family friendly and decently priced. We've taken the 5 & 7yr olds after the zoo.

Aw, Daddy Daughter dance! How sweet. I can't wait until my girl can go with her daddy!

Tonight we're having a mom's night out with the ladies from our home school group! I'm so looking forward to kid free time! One of the mama's has been decorating cakes and cupcakes for years, so she's going to give a little class on how to decorate. I'm just looking forward to the cupcakes! lol. Tomorrow, we'll probably do all of the grocery shopping and cleaning and not so fun stuff before church at night. We started going on Saturday nights and it's so nice to have a WHOLE day that we have nothing to do other than what we choose! Sunday, we'll find something around town to do with the kids.
