You know the Alert button in the Gallery, the one we all check when we come into the gallery.
I found I was not checking that anymore as there would be well over 100-200 everytime. I just figured out that there is....... Alert Preferences! You just click on that and you can remove the ones you don't want and keep the ones you do! How cool is that!
And sorry if this has already been figured out and shared by someone else. LOL
 
You also need to go into Preferences (no Alert in front). The first four are also related to alerts. If, because of those, you are watching categories in the gallery and getting alerts when people upload new LOs, you also need to go to each gallery and hit "Unwatch Category."
 
That being said, what do you pick to not automatically watch a layout that is not yours which you have made a comment on that was them followed by someone else making a comment on it? I guess after you comment go back and click unwatchable right away, but is there a default?
 
@weaselwatchr Yes. At the top of this page where your avatar is... hover over that and click Preferences. Under Options... I click off both boxes under the 2nd, 3rd and 4th things. I leave the first one on so I get notifications on threads I've posted in, but a lot of people turn those first two off also.

You do NOT need to watch your own LOs to get alerts on them.

That works for me and I still get notified for my layouts.
Sidenote : if there are layouts you are already watching, you do have to unwatch them or you will still get alerts for them.
