After being away for so long (my house burnt down and some other stuff happened - traumatic 2 years), I was super intimidated to come back to the digiworld. I don't know why. I think it's cause I just disapeared. I was scrapping for ages but missed having a scrappy community a lot. None of my IRL friends scrap at all so they aren't really interested in hearing about it hahaha.

Anyway, it was baffling coming back, stores I used to go to were gone, designers I loved were gone and no MSA......I went back to a couple of sites that I used to really like but here at the Lillypad....WOW. You guys all blew my mind. You're all so welcoming and made me feel like I was "home" in the digiworld. I can't thank you enough. My scrapping is really important to me and having a home community where I can actually get to know people is a big deal.

So thank you ALL! Lillypad has blown me away, again haha. I appreciate it.
 
I wasn't away from scrapping for an extended period, but I had that same feeling of being home when I landed her last spring. This really is an amazing site, full of amazing people & I'm glad you're happy here!
 
So glad you found your way here. It is a pretty amazing place. I can totally relate about my real life friends not caring about scrapping. You definitely won't find that here. :) Pull up a chair and get comfy... there is a lot to see and do here. :)
 
I'm glad you made it through those tough times. We're glad to have you here with us. I don't have anyone IRL that scraps either.
 
I am so glad you are back! I am sorry it was so rough for you for a bit though. I really hope you are at a more peaceful place in your life!

I just made it back here after being away myself! Lots and lots of icky things happened in my family that was just hard...and there were pregnancies...and miscarriages and awfulness in between...We finally got to a good place, had a baby who is a year and half and I am sooooooo happy to be back here. I love this place so much! There are definitely not friendly or more welcoming people anywhere! <3 <3 Plus the talent, from the community and designers, is just WOW! This is definitely the place to come back to after being away!

so much yes! I think if we didn't have sooooooo much pure awfulness, I wouldn't have the outlook I do. Every single day is a blessing. My kids are brave and strong and we love each other so much. All of us. <3 <3 I just feel grateful more.
 
I was away for my own stubbornness of losing my drive. I so glad I found it here. Have enjoyed every second of it
 
It sounds a really tough time for you and your family. I am glad that you have found blessings through the trials. And you are so right about the atmosphere here at TLP. Welcome!

@chickypow Erin, its SO great to see you back in the digi community! Your artwork used to be a staple of my daily gallery browsing and something I looked forward to seeing. I've missed seeing you around! I'm so sorry to hear you've had such a rough go of things. I agree w/ what you and @crystalbella77 said, though... the tough times really do help shape our perspective and grow in who we are. So glad you were able to get to a good place again! I am so happy to see you here!

I am new to the site but glad that your rough patch is ending and you are able to return to scrapping!
 
I'm glad you've made it to the other side and are back now! I wasn't gone but I really have felt adrift in the digital scrapbooking world for a bit. Now, this feels more like home than anywhere else I've been!
