SO, I pulled up this old(ish) thread about Crock Pot recipes in honor of MOC. Families cannot live on Pop-Tarts alone despite what @AnneofAlamo thinks :giggle

Here's the original thread...

Does anyone have anything to add to it? Pop over there and let's revitalize that thread with some new and fresh slow cooker ideas (is there such a thing?)

I am laughing so loud, lucky all my neighbors are partying!!!
Funny I just bought some meat today to make a stew in the crock pot.....
I nee some sleep now but will come cak with some easy ones (I love Pop tarts though LOL)

Aw, I don't own a slow cooker. I'll have to see how much I can adapt to my pressure cooker!

So ... my fridge died on Christmas. I spent last week throwing away everything, washing it down, and getting it repaired. So now I slowly filling it back up. Out with the old ... in with the new and all that jazz. Looking forward to making a collection of freezer/crock pot friendly meals for the new year. Perfect time right? All I have in my freezer is 3 packs of frozen veggies, ice cream my daughter and her friends bought last night, and the 2 water bottles I put in there to make sure the freezer was working!!

I think is just a question of timing.... the pressure pans (not sure if that is what you have? I have one that goes on the stove, locks in ) are supposed to speed it whilst the slow cooker ...of course LOL slows it.... but I have adapted a few from Pinterest to the stove....so I'm sure you can work around it....

I made this one in the slow cooker (got the recipe in Pinterest) and it was yummy :

Yep! The only other difference I find is the liquid. Some recipes the slow cooker needs more because it sits all day, and other recipes the pressure cooker needs more because the slow cooker has more liquid released during the cooking.
