Last Day of the year

Christmas is going away, and that means a deep clean for my house. Big pot of posole to be made.

This looks so yummy!

We are heading off to our local pub with friends and family. But my main focus is MOC :giggle

We are at home today, very low key. Eating some Prime Rib for supper tonight and trying to stay awake until the ball drops. I will try to get some scrapping done maybe too... Happy New Year!

pork(not tripe, that is menudo), red chile', hominy, fresh cilatro, cut cabbage and lime squeezed on top. Clears the sinus', warms the heart and makes my family smile!
@AnneofAlamo is the pork cut up first? or do you add it whole and then shred after it cooks? And can you tell me more about what type of red chile? Trying to shake a cold, I need all the help of good spicy food I can get.

I just got back from spending the morning at the spa with my MIL and daughter. It was so relaxing to start the day with a massage!

We'll just hang out for now... then tonight, we'll watch the Michigan State game, eat fondue (cheese and chocolate) and play games. At around 11:30, we'll walk over to the mountain to see the torchlight parade (skiers with torches) and the fireworks at midnight.

We (hubby & I) will be out for the night at our Fraternal Order of the Eagle club (Railroad Aerie #3851) partying with our friends. We've got the kids all set up with a buffet of junk food here at home. Our 20 year old is "on-call" as designated driver for us. Hubby is on the committee that is putting this event on, so he's up at the club right now decorating and setting up. I'm home with the girls... making my dish-to-pass (deviled eggs) for the party. Fireball and I are going to be friends tonight, which means MOC Challenge #1 might have a slightly still drunk interpretation! LOL

I actually cook a huge pork roast at the beginning of month. I shred the pork roast. I do about 5 meals out of it. Posole-the easy way

and water til it is consistency you like, drain hominy can (I get the huge one) and put in shredded pork
serve with cilantro, limes and cut cabbage and extra oregano!

As you can see, I'm so swamped at work today :giggle.
We're very low-key. I'll make a big ole pot of jambalaya. I'm so excited the grocery store had crawdads!
I probably won't stay up 'til midnight. Tomorrow we'll spend the day at the San Francisco Zoo.

Dang girls you are making me hungry! How am i going to get used to not eating during MOC if you all are posting things like this all the time. MOC=Dieting I should be able to lose a little weight right?

scrap. eat (I am doing as we speak/tyPe) restore, checking that the folders aren't empty. having very un lady like thought abouit the Crash Plan people. Having not-so-motherly feelings about my daughter. repeat. drink. repeat. sleep.
:stash

I'm looking forward to 2016 since next Friday I'll travel to see my youngest granddaughter for the first time.

Sweet! Where and when are you traveling to?

I will be working today... this morning from about 8am-2pm. Then I go back in at 6pm-11pm. *fingers crossed that I get home before Midnight* I always ring in the New Year with my kids, even if they are crashed out before the bell strikes 12 :giggle

That doesn't sound like a fun shift. What do you do?

Video for my MOC day, and then everyone takes naps today.
We have a huge NoTalent Talent show at our church tonight.

That looks great! And the No Talent Talent show sound awesome! Are we going to get a video of your girls song?

We're pretty low key - Macy's is having a mattress sale and we're overdue for a new one so we're going to go take a look at those today. .

We bought a mattress this year. I'm sorry! It was such a pain, we ended up buying one online.

, and having hotel dip and black eyed pea dip for dinner while we watch football games this evening! (i hope i can scrapbook or organize while he is watching the game). ...and then i will start stalking for MOC!
What's hotel dip? And I'll be stalking along with you!!

Going to do a lot of this tonight... :wine while in my pj's, while probably working on my PL 2015 catch-up or December Daily last 4 days....

WELCOME TO THE PAD! Maybe I'll catch up on my PL 2014 tomorrow :giggle . Big plans, big plans.

So glad to have you here and looking forward to getting to know you. Perhaps you should check in after the wine... then you can tell us all of your secrets, hehe.

That doesn't sound like a fun shift. What do you do?

I'm a Pediatrician and I offered to work for a colleague in Pediatrics After Hours tonight because he's a BIG HUGE Alabama fan. I feel his pain and didn't care quite as much about that game :cheer

The only problem is I was on call last night and slept about 2.5 hours before going into my office this morning. I'm a little loopy, so drinking coffee as I type! (P.S. do not bring your kids to me tonight :giggle )

Just got home from a veeerrry long breakfast with a couple friends. Leaving in 5 to go take my daughter to CVS to get some shampoo. Livin' the dream. She's having some friends here tonight for NYE so I guess I need to make dinner for them. I'm thinking just a big ole pot of homemade Mac & Cheese. I know they all really like it. Plus I have the ingredients and won't have to go to the store to buy anything! I plan to scrap my way into the new year. I should do some yard work while the sun is out.

Eating and cheering for the Alabama Crimson Tide! Can't think of a better way to spend the last day of 2015 than watching college football!

Less than half an hour left of my 2015. We did a kid-friendly party earlier and now we're just waiting for Dinner For One to start. After that, we'll go outside and watch the fireworks.
