Do you do anything to pamper yourself? Go to a spa, get a massage, manicure/pedicure? Relax with a good book and a bath? Candles and champagne? Takeout food and a favorite movie/tv show? Some solo scrapping time?

How do you do something nice for yourself?

:beat

Hmmm.... I would love to get pedicures more often, but usually time/money don't work out... If anything, I'd say a little by myself time. I enjoy just watching TV, vegging out a bit on the couch, or just scrapping with no kids or hubby around! Plus, usually every April, I really really enjoy having a week to myself. Peter and the boys head to Florida for a week, and I stay home, work, meet up with friends, and relax. (He gets off Christmas week when I have the boys, and for some of it go to my Mom's house at the beach!) It's a nice break!

I get massages monthly and while it is relaxing, divine and wish I could go more often, part of it is to work on my arm and make sure my lymphedema stays very minimum.

Recently I had my hair coloured professionally...what a difference from my little $7 box, lol. Since my grocery bill is cut by two thirds that is my indulgence now and I have my appointments booked right through to December. Also means I am getting my hair trimmed regularly instead of just leaving it then putting it up :)

Need and would love a pedicure but can't stand it when they file my toe nails ( I have curled up just thinking about it).

My pampering is getting my hair cut and colored every 6-8 weeks. I used to color it myself like Jaye, but it's just SO much better done right and my lady only charges me $30 for color which I think is totally worth it to have it done for me and done right. :)

I would love to get massages, I love them so much and always feel like I need the tension released from my neck and shoulders, but they are too expensive for me to justify.

The other thing I do for myself is make time to craft, whether it's scrapping, crochet or painting, sometimes I need to have that creative outlet even if my house is a little messy. I craft anyway. I figure the messes aren't going anywhere. :)

Scrapping time for sure. I rarely get my hair done. I love having jamberries for my nails and toes. Sooooooo much cheaper than getting a mani/pedi, which I can't afford often.

I'm also thinking about taking some art journal classes, either at a Michael's, Tangie Baxter's studio (about 30 minutes from me!), or online.

I go to one of my several spots on the beach and get some beach therapy. Even the it is overcast, there is something about the water that completely calms my soul. Once I am there, it is hard for me to leave. I have literally cried. It is so odd but definitely balances me :heartlub

Danyale I totally get that! I love the water and find it so calming and tranquil. I live in a little town on a river so water is very close by. My dream is to have a house on the water, just being able to look out and see it daily would be the best therapy for me. Now to just win the lottery and have that dream come true :giggle

yasss!!! hahaha! Lottery - must do, immediately! Whoever wins buys a house big enough for ALL of us, LMAO! We have a lot of water here where we live. The Gulf is to my South and all of Blackwater/Coldwater rivers are around me otherwise. I do not have to travel far for a fix. Maybe we are Selkies :giggle

My perfect pamper day would include me, an empty (clean) house, no responsibilities and 8 hours of guilt free scrapping/crafting/internet surfing. hehe.

In reality, my pampering includes a long hot shower after everyone goes to bed :giggle

Yep. Totally this! Even when I go with my son, the ocean calms me.
AND I get the added benefit that the beach tires him out - making for a quieter evening.

I'm totally a beach and bay person! It is perfect! This summer was probably my most calming summer since we were at the beach almost every weekend! I think it helped me through the hiccups with my computer! :giggle

I'm a beach person as well. Hearing the sounds and watching the water is just so soothing. But we don't get there as often as I'd like. I wish I could like massage. All it is for me is pain. Acupuncture is relaxing and pampering for me, but I don't do that anymore. I did get a pedicure the other day. I felt guilty for going, but my feet were ATROCIOUS. So of course it wasn't all that relaxing and then I also felt guilty for the poor woman who had to deal with them. :giggle

I do love the beach and walk there about 3 times a week. It does calm me and I love to see it it different weather. But my main treat of choice would be chocolate - only Cadbury's though and preferably accompanied by a cheesy movie :)

All of the above and a good bottle off wine. :-)
