Do you like firm pillows? Squishy ones?

Double pillows? Body pillows?

I'm wanting to go to bed right now (but my kids have other plans) so thinking about my pillows. I use the old beany type pillows that I can totally squeeze. But I really need two of them to be comfy.

Are you picky about your pillow?

This tired gal is curious, hehe.

I'm so picky I take mine on trips with me. My favorites are the memory foam type. I keep tweaking and trying to find a "better mousetrap". The latest have a cooling gel to them.

I feel a bit like Goldilocks... the pillow can't be too hard or too soft...it has to be just right. LOL My entire family travels with our own pillows. I guess we're picky pillow people. I have another pillow that I use when I am reading in bed.

I really like a feather pillow, but the one that bought several years ago was just not fluffing up anymore. We happened to be at Sams club earlier this summer and they had these Bamboo pillows that are filled with memory foam bits and we totally fell for the sales pitch. They weren't super expensive, about $25/each which is more than I usually like to lay down for two pillows at one time. The first few weeks we were a little disappointed with them, but I will say that I think that they are growing on me. They are pretty soft and comfy, but firm enough to be supportive.

I also listened to a podcast of someone who has been using this MyPillow thing and she really likes it.

Totally picky. We get the down and feather pillows from the Westin and replace them once a year

I like to have my head on a contoured one but I also like a squishy one to hug. Pillows in Denmark are square, which I cannot &¤%&% stand. It's basically the same width as an American pillow, but then just as tall, too. Whose head is that big? No one's. It makes no sense. It just takes up more space on the bed! So I originally bought a contoured one just because it's the only pillow-shaped pillow I can buy in this country, but now I really like it.

I've been having issues with finding the right pillow myself lately. I've tried a few different kinds and even had my hubby buy me a water pillow for Christmas last year. I'm a side sleeper and I have a hard time finding one that is soft enough, but still supports my neck etc. I also have one pillow in front of me when I sleep that i hug.

I have a memory foam pillow and I love it. It's not high enough for me, since I primarily sleep on my side, so I have a regular fairly flat pillow underneath it to boost it up a bit. And I'm a pillow hugger as well, so I have another cheapo standard size pillow that I hug. (It also helps a bit with keeping bed hog DH on his side, since when I let go of the pillow and turn over, it stays toward the middle of the bed. LOL)

I never thought I would care what kind of pillow I had, but last time DH and I went and bought a new bed we were split about which we preferred. I loved one he didn't like. After much testing, I finally realized it was actually the pillow on the bed that I was loving, and I could stick it on any bed and be happy, so I got the pillow and let him pick the mattress. :giggle

I have a tempurpedic that I cannot live without. The price nearly held me back, but it has been the best decision I have ever made, greatest pillow ever!

As for decorative pillow, they are the little darling of decorating. Want to redecorate, but can't, buy a couple of decorative pillows in a new color or pattern and you're set!

I'm a side sleeper too, Karen, so I totally get what you're saying. That's why I love my tempurpedic. I sink down into it, but it supports my neck. I have a lot of neck trouble if I don't watch it.

I'm a stomach sleeper so I need a pretty flat down/feather pillow for that, but then I roll to my side and I need a higher pillow. So I have two and I smoosh and quoosh until I fall asleep.

I just bought new pillows yesterday. How fitting! I prefer firm, but I'm okay as long as it's not too squishy.
We are family of picky pillow people that all travel with our pillows.

Funny pillow story...
DH goes to sleep well before I do and tends to sleep diagonally, with his head on my side of the bed. This drives me NUTS! I don't like wrestling for my side of the bed when I am ready to sleep, but I especially do not like hot pillows. To solve the hot pillow problem I place two pillows on my side of the bed. When I go to bed, I toss one pillow to the floor so that I can sleep on the other cool pillow.

I am also a picky pillowcase people... it's a thing. don't judge. :giggle
I don't like noisy pillow cases. There are just some pillow cases that are too loud to sleep on. My ears are sensitive I guess. :giggle

Both my DH and I have two skinny pillows each. Don't like the fatter ones but really hard to find the thinner sort when looking for new ones.

And I completely get the noisy pillowcases, there are some materials that just turn me off.

oh! totally finicky about my pillows! we get ours all the way from India - no matter which part of world we live in! lol!

I dont like mine too firm and not too big as well. I like my pillows thin and soft.

In fact, the only time i can remember a fight with DH during my pregnancy was about these pillows!. We were moving from Chicago to London at the time and I refused to board the flight without my trusted pillow!! haha :) so yes - totally finicky about my pillows...and i can never have too many pillows around me :)
