It has been quite an adventure over the past 2 months. I haven't touched base here and I miss you all! :heartlub

Thankfully, Harper has had no more episodes with seizures - however; this gramma is still awfully paranoid! When I feel that she's the least bit warm I freak out!!

Things at work just keep getting crazier. We have had 3 new managers over the past 4 months. And the VP of OPS that is stepping in, is trying to recreate the wheel - and since you know what flows downhill ... well let's just say most days are trying at best!!

Then on top of the stress at work - I've been dealing w/ a toothache for 2 months. I broke a back molar off in January - had a crown put on in February. When the temp crown was put on, the dentist must have gotten an instrument too close to my tongue because the entire side of it had a huge blister on it for about a week. Then when the permanent crown went on I started to get a tooth ache (it hadn't hurt when it first broke off)- that also affected my ear. After a week of pain I went back to my dentist and he said I needed a root canal. AFTER the permanent crown had been put on. :td So I had the root canal and the Endodontist guaranteed the pain would subside. Nope - it didn't. Last Sunday night as I was brushing my teeth, the permanent crown fell off!! So back to the dentist to have it put back on. (With temporary glue) the next day I had the 2nd Endodontic appointment - and again, he guaranteed it would feel better. He actually took the crown off and worked directly on my tooth and ended up grinding most of it off. He did not put the crown back on - instead he sent it to my dentist and told me my dentist and I could "figure it out from here". I'm livid - and still in pain. I suspect I will end up having it pulled - after ALL of the headaches I've gone through with it - not to mention the $$$$ that are adding up!!!

I'm ready to get it over and done with and move on!!!!

Eesh.

Anyways, it's good to be back here amongst scrappy friends!!

that is a dental horror story! maybe time to shop around for some new ones? so sorry Jill. but glad to hear Harper has been seizure free for 2 months. that is fabulous news.

i hope you feel better soon ... and get the tooth issue resolved quickly!

Oh no, Jill. I'm so sorry for all your trouble. And everything seems worse when your teeth hurt! Prayers are with you. Did you see this month's M3 stuff? Looks perfect for you :). Scrap it out, girl!

Oh Jill what a time you've had! Hopefully you get the tooth bit taken care of, I would tell the dentist these fix ups are on him as he messed up to begin with.

So glad to hear Harper hasn't had any more seizures.

Oh my gosh, what is up with that? I can't believe they're giving you the runaround like that, it just shouldn't be that difficult. As a grandma and mother myself, I can only imagine that stress and the work thing has to just plain suck! Something serious is afoot for you to have had that much managerial turn over in such a short time!

OMG Jill, you poor sweetie! Toothache are I think the worse! I can't believe they can't make you just feel better even if that means pulling it out. XOXO

Forgot to say, so happy about Harper!

PS. It is ok to be paranoid!

My thoughts exactly!

oh Jill! how horrible...I hope it all gets healed for you! Yes, yes, scrap it out!!

Our son told us today that Harper has an appointment with a Pediatric Neurologist in Iowa City on the 27th. They are going to run tests just to make 100% sure all is okay. Prayers would be appreciated!!

And thanks for the warm thoughts and prayers - TLP is such a special place! XOXO

I'm glad you posted this because I had been wondering about your work situation... sorry to hear that it's still a crazy town. I sure hope and pray that things will smoothly out for you soon. Stress at work just trickles down into everything else in life and makes it NOT fun! I'm really sorry to hear that on top of that you have all that tooth junk too! That sounds like a horror story to me! Are you grinding your teeth while you're sleeping from the stress at work? I know that I clench my teeth sometimes when life is going crazy and it can makes my jaws and teeth hurt. It is possible those two are related.

I am super happy to hear that there haven't been any more seizures. Prayers for a success follow up doctors appointment too!

I do not think I grind my teeth at night, but I am a clencher! LOL! Another piece (!) of tooth broke off while brushing the weekend and just now a smaller piece came out as I was eating (not even chewing on that side!).

Waiting to hear back from my dentist for the next steps - it's to the point now that there isn't much above my gum line. Not looking forward to having it extracted but might not have a choice.

We have another new manager at work today - so another chapter begins. Plus, in the middle of last week we were all told our offices were moving, so we have to make that transition - I walked 2+ miles that 1st day (because we've moved farther away from the main area where all of the employees are).

I used to really like change, but the older I get the more I like things to just remain the same! LOL!

Yay about Harper, Jill! I'd still be a nervous Nelly!

Ugh... I am not a dentist person. I feel for you! And, work bring me down when people aren't putting the effort in, and you are stuck. I hope things turn around for the better!

I think you should scrap this and make it your journaling! Perfect M3 this month for it!

Will be praying for Harper's appointment.
And so sorry for your dental nightmare!! Sounds like scrap therapy time.

Good gosh! I hope your tooth is feeling better soon even if it means extraction to finally get it pain-free.

Jill so sorry to hear all this, I know first hand toohache can be one of the worse pains ever....hope things get sorted soon-
Great to hear that Harper didnt have anymore seizures !!!!

very glad to hear about harper - but so sorry about all the dental problems! ughh! my DH had the same sort of thing, and it finally ended up with a dental implant ... at least it's all over now!

good luck with the teeth and work stuff - and positive thoughts to harper!

Yay for Harper, prayers sent. Your dental woes make me cringe. How awful for you. Sure hope things improve soon.

Harper saw the neurologist today - they ran a battery of tests, but he thought he seizures were "provoked" which I guess in the overall scheme of things is better than "unprovoked". They will know more once the results come back. Jacob said Harper was petrified during the tests - it took them both to hold her down and she cried so hard that she actually cried herself to sleep. They had to make a stop to buy baby oil to get the goo out of her hair ... Jacob said she slept the whole way back home (90+ minutes).

Gosh I was so nervous all day - I can't even explain it. I don't EVER recall getting worked up when I was a MOM - must be something about being a Gramma!!! LOL!
