My book for the second half of 2014 is ready to print EXCEPT for the title page. I'm completely stuck. The last year (2013) I just replaced my photos from the first book with some photos from the second half of the year. But I had made a more generic title page that year, where in 2014 mine is all "happy new year". I'm sure I'm way over thinking this, but it's the one thing that's holding up my ordering my 2014 book.

What do you do for the title page for your second book of the year?

I do not actually print mine in books but they are in 2 separate albums, each with a blank page in the front... at the moment, I'll honest and say that the spot is still blank, but my plan is to do a Title page for my 2014 album and print it twice, adding it to the front of both books. I MAY find a place to put Jan-June then July-Dec on the page, but o/w they will be generic enough to be the same. It's the last thing I plan to do after my weeks are done.

Here's my title page for 2014...

I like the idea of using the same page in the front of each book. But do you think it's too "new year"? Or does that even matter?

I love your cover page. How about switching out the winter photo with a summer one and changing the happy new year word art to something else? That way they are very similar but you can tell them apart.

Yes, I'd keep it similar and just edit a bit. Take out the Happy New Year, but I think you can keep the sparkles. Add a summer photo. And perhaps update how your goals are coming along. How fun would that be! Same color scheme, though. I love that.

Thanks so much for the input!! I've made it past my roadblock thanks to you all!

I replaced the photo and the word art...

I didn't have another photo of all of us, so it's just the kids. This year one of my goals is to take more family photos so hopefully I'll have replacements ready for my second half book. Ahh... this concept of just using the same cover page for every book is so freeing!

Good for you! It looks great! How wonderful to have 2014 finished.

Yay. It's perfect! Congrats on getting it printed. I'm still plugging away at my weeks, hehe.

Tracie I used the same kit for my first PL title page too. :) I have no idea what I'm going to do with the second part's cover. I think I might have deleted that kit after I used it... great forward thinking on my part.

Congrats on getting your books printed!

I like uniformity, I would use the same cover page and somehow put "Book Number 2" on it.

Your cover page is awesome.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm glad it's done and excited to get the printed book!

I'm not sure what I did with that kit either! Thankfully I still had the psd file of my cover and just did some quick modifications. Sometimes I get frustrated with myself for all of the in progress copies of stuff that I keep.... other times, like this, I'm so thankful that I have them all! :-) I think your cover would be great for the second part without modification! Mine just had the really wintery photo and the happy new year stuff. If you have the full sized jpg you could just add a text layer with the part two info to make it different if you wanted.
