I watched 5 series of it in a week, over im Amazon instant video- Now I started season 6-

Now, am I the only one who dislikes most of the characters?
I tend to only feel sympathetic to Joan Holloway/Harris
some others sometimes... of course Jonn Hamm is eye candy of the very best, and the whole thing brings back memories of my childhood in the 60's... love the costumes and music...
Thing is, even though the characters are not likeable to me most of the time....I can't stop watching LOL

As I'm only in season 6 start, please, no spoilers
but anyone here watches or watched? not sure if it will be another series, had no time to check... (no much time to watch TV since we came back, was watching on the tablet)
 
We did watch it but it's been ages. Yes, addicting even though everyone is horrible! LOL
 
Hi Cynthia... Yes I have watched since the beginning and yes I agree with your character assessment. Unfortunately last season was only 6 episodes, and the other 6 should be in the spring and that will be the end of it. I love the 60's time frame of the series too... can't believe all the boozing during the day in the office of the 60's... LOL


It is one of those shows that took a left hand turn but since you have been watching, you have to continue until the end! :)
 
we watched some of it ... but it has been awhile & i forget how many seasons we actually got through. then we got sick of it ...as things changed so much. really loved the early years. but yes the characters are dislikable!!!
 
My hubby & I love it! It was so to start but the more we watched, the more we love it. And yes, honestly, most of the characters are vile, sexist pigs. I can't get over how much they drank & smoked in the office. I liked both Joan & Peggy, but even they were annoying and/or manipulating often. For some reason, I was a fan of Don's last wife, Megan. She tried so hard for so long to make Don happy, but NOTHING would make him happy! I am EAGERLY awaiting the last 6 episodes that are left. Is it Spring that it's coming? Eeeeeks, hurry!!!!

I can see why you would quit if you are watching over the years...I watched the 5 seasons on demand whilst traveling...and yes, Christa, agree, I will finish... Sarita found me some links and I'm watching season 6 now...had to stop as I had a headache, but will try finish this week....and then wait till they bring the last one here!!!

I've seen it too, apart from the last season (it's on my list), and I really like it. I do like some of the character's, Peggy and Joan spring to mind - and Pete's poor wife (I forgot her name). And the girl that plays Don's daughter: She is amazing - not the character, obviously, but the actress. And I think Rodger is hilarious.

I look forward to the last season - and I really hope some of them will find some happiness in the end. Not so likely, I guess!

yes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOVE the actress, Don's daughter, think her name is Kieran Shipka-
Roger is indeed hilarious-
I think Joan is the only one I trully like, I like Peter's wife too (Trudy) Peggy, for some reason, irritates me most of the time....:giggle

and yes to not so likely :giggle
