Yep, it's December! Time to listen to Christmas music all day long. *swoon*

But I am in the need for some new tunes. Bonus points if they are inexpensive on iTunes, hehe

So, hook me up, peeps. What do you listen to? Who am I missing out on by not enjoying this season?

I think I must buy the Pentatonix Christmas album just b/c those folks blow my mind with their talent. And perhaps Michael Buble since he sounds totally "classic".

Who else? Link me up!

My favorite right now is "You're Here" by Francesca Battistelli
My favorites next to that are the classics sung by Bing Crosby, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Perry Como, Burl Ives, etc…
I am not a fan of the newer stuff.

We are pretty much playing the Pentatonix Holiday Station on Pandora 24/7 around here. It just makes me happy :)

That is not necessarily helpful for buying music though, is it?

Ellen has an album out that she "curated" (I guess that is the best word). It has a lot of classic songs by a wide variety of artists. It is kind of interesting.

And one word. MUPPETS. The John Denver Muppet Christmas is one of my faves.

Yes! This! I found the Ellen album last week and I listen to it almost every morning. The only song I skip is Feliz Navidad - I just can't handle Feliz Navidad. I also second the Pentatonix one. Oh, and She & Him has an album of Christmas Classics but you really have to be cool with Zoey Deschanel's voice. I like her, but my husband and my son are not huge fans. And I like the "A Very Special Christmas" volumes, they're a mix of different artists singing Christmas songs.

I get in a Sufjan Stevens Christmas music rut. I need some new stuff too (but I still need my Sufjan Stevens!).

Pentatonix are so awesome! But my favorite Christmas song EVER (ever, I mean it) is O Holy Night by the Wiffenpoofs. It's the Yale men's choir, and I first heard them on a West Wing episode. Ah-mazing.

Oh... I'm gonna look these up. And Julie, O Holy Night is my fave christmas song. Although the "Wiffenpoofs" sounds like you are punking me :giggle

Just added She & Him and Pentatonix to my Spotify Christmas playlist. I found Whiffenpoofs (um, yeah, does totally sound like a punk!) but no O Holy Night :( That's my fave Christmas song too!

Holidays rule is our favorite. It's modern renditions of classics. But I just listen to fairytale of New York by the pogues on repeat all season long. My favorite song ever.

elvis presley christmas duets
sister hazel- santa's playlist

Totally coming back tot this thread!!!! :dizzy

I will have to look them up. I feel like a nerd because I totally knew who they were because we are big Gilmore Girls fans and Lorelai's dad was a Wiffenpoof!
