Do you wear one?

I always did, but I don't seem to anymore. My phone tells me what time it is. I do wear one when running, though. And when I'm 'dressed up' I will wear one more as an accessory than a way to tell what time it is.

Do you think they're a thing of the past???

I love my watch! I try and wear it everyday. I hope it doesn't become a thing of the past, but with cell phones and all electronics we carry these days it probably will.

I still wear a watch every day and even though my phone is never far from my hand, I rarely use it to see what time it is, I still look at my watch instead. Old habits I guess! :)

I haven't worn a watch in at least 4 years. I only did that because I had a job that I couldn't pull my phone out to check the time, lol!

I wear my grandmother's watch. I remember helping her to pick it out. Because it's water resistant and you don't have to wind it or anything, I really don't ever take it off. I still look at my wrist to see the time.

This. I feel half dressed without my watch. And I'm constantly looking at my wrist if I'm not wearing it. And it's not even pretty, LOL. It's a black sports watch from Target that I wear with everything. Function over style.

Same here. I only wear a watch at work because it's convenient and it's not very professional to take my phone out... but at home I never wear one.

I don't wear watches anymore. I used to all the time especially in college. But then I graduated mumblety *cough* 20 years ago *cough*. I have carpal tunnel and I don't like tight things on my wrist, though, so I haven't in a long time. Oh that, and I can't tell time. Yeah. Well -- digital clocks were all the rage in the 70's when I was a kid, I didn't see the point. We had digital clocks all over our house, and there were digital clocks and watches everywhere. Except school. And now I can tell time, it just takes awhile, I have to think about it. So if I ask a stranger the time and they show me their watch, I say, "thank you." And think to myself, "hmmm thanks for showing me your incomprehensible sundial...I still have no idea what time it is." LOL But now I just use my cell.

And now you know my terrible secret. You can have a degree in Psychology be an artist and not know how to tell time.

Oh I forgot to say that, ironically, I LOVE to use traditional watches, pocket watches and clocks of all kinds in my art. I think they are beautiful and they fascinate me.
Weird.

I wear one, but I tend to look at my phone for the time LOL. I think it's more habit than anything. My current Mickey watch just has hands that make it really hard for me to tell the time with it. Much faster to click on my phone.

I love my watch! I feel naked when I don't wear and miss it terribly if I forget to put it on. The only times I take if off are when I have to do a lot of typing or when I'm sleeping :)

I haven't worn one in around 10 years I'd say, although lately I've found myself thinking about buying one.

I do wear a watch. Even with a phone, I prefer looking at my watch when I want to know the time.

This cracked me up, Jo :)

This! I was even thinking of asking for one for mother's day - Because my phone lives in my bag, I am getting really annoyed at having to dig it out to tell the time - so I may return to watch wearing land...

Ps My younger brother was also a child of the late 70's/80's and also has no idea how to tell the time, so you're not alone Johanna!

I recently bought a new one, after going for over a year without. I only buy cheap watches - I think I spent about $15 on it, but it's cute. I just like to have one in case my phone isn't handy. There are a few place, like church, where I don't take my phone so I like to have one.

My watch is the first thing that I put on in the morning and the last thing that I take off at night. I carry my phone all of the time but don't usually use it for the time.

Nope. Haven't worn one for years. I could never find one that I felt didn't look awkward on me. Either the dial was too big or thick, the band was uncomfortable or ugly or too wide, and the small thin ones felt silly since I've always been a plus size girl. I always struggled with where on my wrist/arm it should sit, too. LOL So I just gave up and got by fine w/out one. Now w/ cell phones, it's hardly needed but if there was ever a solar flare that took out electricity, I'd probably wish for one but only then. :)
