my 7 and 9 year old share a room. Nine year old is a gentle giant. Seven year old has a problem with his mouth. :giggle
the sound of thumping was coming from the room this morning, after said 7 year old mouth had opened one too many times.
I actually said,
"Be glad he loves you and stops, cause your mouth is gonna get you in trouble."
and walked away?
I can't believe those words formed in my mouth?:whoopdedoo

Ever watch words come out of your mouth and wonder what the?:giggle

sounds like you opened your mouth and the truth fell out to me! I have moments where I realize that what I said was said just a little too harshly, but still true ....and the kids don't usually forget what I said those times...

Yes....I regret a million times I said snarky things to my kids or hubs and try to control my snide remarks more now. Some days I spend a lot of time biting my tongue :)

yup, but sometimes those are the best words and most truthful and will hang in the memory bank forever and correct the issue! I said something once and it still hangs in my own memory bank!!

I think this happens to me everyday. I wish conversations had a backspace key!

I literally said the following last night:

'I don't care if you ARE pretending to be a cat. You are still not allowed to lick your own feet.'

:cornfused:cornfused:cornfused

that normally happens to me when I am rousing on the kids and I end up saying things all about face and they look at me with the Huh? face .... my response is usually "you know what I meant!!!" .... I think its because my brain isn't as fast as my mouth :giggle

Whoops sorry guys, I forgot to add 'quote post' to this original replay and now can't work out how to delete it completely. I'm a dill!

Oh my gosh thats hilarious!

This is not something I said but a pearler my 3 year old son said the other night whilst eating meatballs that his daddy cooked.
(Warning the following may shock some people)
3 year old DS proclaimed 'Mmmmmm....I love eating dad's balls!'
I was mortified and my husband spat his food out then we both said in unison 'AWKWARD!' were just thanking our lucky stars this wasn't stated in a restaurant. In hindsight looking back that was actually a phewwww moment! :) lol
