-15 farenheit and our four year old furnace has stopped working

We got to -9C one morning, way cold enough for us! Can't begin to think what -26C is like, esp without heat -eeep! stay warm, hopefully you can get some portable heaters...

We have heat again. Apparently the snow blocked one of the vents outside, causing the whole system to shut off. My hubby had checked this and I guess by the time he had checked, it already had affected the computer in the thermostat. We just did not realize it had shut off until it was cold in the house. Repairman said there was no way to reboot the system ourselves, they would have had to come out regardless. It was $49.95. How silly and annoying.

And here I was complaining yesterday when it went down into the 30s :giggle Thank God it will be a record high of 84F this Saturday :yesss

I'm so glad that you have heat again and that the problem was an easy fix and not terribly expensive either! Yay! :) We had several people at work that had the same problem for the first time during this last blizzard and were having to go out a shovel around their vents every couple of hours. No fun!

I am glad it was an easy fix!!!

Our temps in Chicago were pretty cold too!! We didn't have school for two days because the wind chills were in the -50s.
