Do you like to swim? Can you? Only to save your life, or do you do it for fitness and/or fun?

I'm trying to do it for fitness but I'm having a hard time enjoying it. :giggle I can swim a mile or so but meh it's just boring and requires too much concentration. Maybe if I could swim a mile straight out or whatever it wouldn't be so bad, but having to turn around every 25 meters really keeps me from ever truly zoning out.

I used to swim 3/4 of an hour every lunch time when I was younger and I worked near the local pool, so I CAN swim BUT ... now I don't swim as much as float! I seriously can not sink under the water .. I just keep bobbing to the top all the time. I'm like my own personal life preserver :giggle its the big chest I think ROFL

I bigfatpuffyheart swimming... Of any variety - doing it for fun, doing it as a workout, watching it...

Oh amanda you have made me laugh at that post bless ya

im like angie find it boring lol, used to love it as a kid but now I cant be bothered lol,its not cheap here the kids go free but for us its about 3.50 each but im bored after 10 minutes lol and undo my hard work in the cafe after

I love to swim! But what is this 'workout' thing you speak of? :giggle I thought I would like it -- I even was on the swim team my senior year in HS. I hated it. And after growing flippers instead of feet because you couldn't get me out of the local swimming pool as a child (I had a summer pass and stayed there from opening to close), I thought I would be good at it. Yeah. I sucked. Really, really bad.

I prefer swimming and body surfing in the ocean. That's my favorite way to swim. :beat

I really enjoy swimming. For recreation and for work outs. I love that I am sweating but not grossed out.. I do body pump/zumba/step and I am soaking wet with sweat..ugh.
my hubs was a swim team for years, and HE HATES swimming...hates it, finds no enjoyment in going to a pool just to play. I love it...the kids are just in love with water, and it is pure heaven to me.

I was always a fish growing up. Loved to swim. I still do love to swim, but only to play in a pool or at the beach, I can't actually do any strokes or like breath right to swim for any long distance. :)

I'm not a good swimmer, have had some bad experiences, and pretty much won't get into the water anymore. Oh, and that swimsuit thing. Nope, that's not gonna happen.
