Homecoming date and Learner's License...

All in the same week! EEK, what is happening to my baby boy, LOL. He took a little girl to homecoming this past weekend (with a group of other kids... not a "real date") and then got his license yesterday. He's 15 and thinks he's grown. I'm starting to wonder...

Am I getting older, too? Or just him! I think my 44th birthday coming up in a couple of weeks is answering that question for me.

Gotta scrap the Homecoming pics. He hasn't let me take driving pics yet His silly daddy took him to the DMV and didn't take one photo! UGH. Why does he even own an iPhone? :)

oh wow, that is a lot in one week. btw. you might think it was not a date but maybe he thought it was. LOL!!

I'm a firm believer that while our kids may grow older, we don't. We stay young for-ev-er. ;)

oh the "grown up" teens...hilarious stage. Hilarious thru tears! hahaha boo hoo
What HUGE milestones here momma, and boys, the stage no pics goes for a few years...bhahah

I've chosen to stay the same age at least until my kids are out of high school, then I'll think about changing. Unfortunately, my body hasn't gotten the message. :p

DS just started high school, and really hasn't shown the least interest in dating yet. I'm terrified of whenever he starts driving. The traffic here is just so crazy. I'd been driving for 6 years already when I moved here, and it was still really intimidating for me!

Licence for what ????? Surely not driving its 17 here

Here you can get your Learner's License here at 15 (when you can drive with an adult over 18 only). You have to have this Learner's License for a year b/f getting your "real" license at 16. It's an unnerving experience for mom, LOL.

Time flies by, doesn't it? Sometimes I have to stop and think about what age my girls are. They are grown women, not kids anymore. I swear, just yesterday they were babies.

omg couldnt imagine 15 year olds behind the wheel i wouldnt trust half the 17 year olds here to do it

Girl, we are in the same boat! I just turned 44 last week & my boy went to prom this year & got his license. Now he almost has a girlfriend, one that he's been texting for 3 years before anything came of it. ARGH! I met my husband when he was just 8 months older than what my son is now. NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Mine came home tonight steaming about "the girl"... she wants to get together and have dinner or chat, then she's always busy with school or activities, then she's mad at him for not trying hard enough. I listened for a while, trying to say something soothing when I could. About all I could really convey with surety is that if it's this difficult to even begin dating, it's probably not right. It just shouldn't be this hard. I even offered to "rough her up a little" with his sister... I at least got a smile out of him.
