Are you a brand name shopper?

My answer would be yes and no.

American Cheese in slices is has to be VELVEETA.
Bras can only be WARNERS.

I think those are my two brand/items that I cannot deviate from. Do you have any? Have you tried something of an off brand and now swear by it?

Target's brand buttermilk pancake mix - IT'S AWESOME, when added a bit of local honey into the mix. No need to have any syrups at table time.

I gotta a giggle I have no idea what bra I am wearing, or what cheese I buy, usually generic! lol
only thing brand name here is
peanut butter, we are a JIF house,
and those cotton swabs that you put in your ears? qtips only!

The Target cotton swabs are good, I used to be a Qtips gal too. LOL!!!

There is not much that I only buy brand but I have off brands that I prefer...

Like Kroger natural peanut butter and tea, but I prefer Great Value yogurt over Kroger yogurt.

Hotdogs have to be Nathan's or DH won't eat them (well unless someone were to build a Portillo's here..lol).

Oh yeah, portillos JUMBO HOT DOGS are the best... well, just after Hebrew National at Wrigley Field... yummy oh!

I do think that DH had a Hebrew National recently and deemed it edible...but he always begs for Nathan's when we go to the store. His big thing is that he won't eat Oscar Mayer or Ballpark or the like.

I am not really to an extent LOL!
Kraft Singles ONLY!
Philadelphia Cream Cheese ONLY
Kraft Mac N Cheese (my kids KNOW when I make the generic stuff and nobody likes it)
Sprite and MT Dew (absolutely no substitions......tried them and we do NOT like them)
Lays Salt N Vinegar Chips (we also tried some off brands of these and they were YUCKY LOL)

U Well once I find a brand I like it's just smart to stick with it, right?! I think my husband is more brand specific than I am on most things. I grew up on a lot of generics. Like brand name potato chips were high falootin - at our house it was always the black and white box with two bags of plain chips inside and it just said "potato chips" on the outside.

Tom and I get into Ritz vs. TownHouse arguments all the time at the store. I consider them the same, but he will only eat TH. He is also convinced that Motrin is the superior ibuprofen, and I'm just fine with any generic - however I'll only buy Excedrin Migraine so I'm not one to talk. The generic probably works just as well.

I get really brand loyal with cleaning products and toiletries/makeup especially, though. Once I find something that works well or smells fantastic I don't like to switch ever. I've been using CoverGirl Lash Blast mascara for, like, 8 years. If it ain't broke, why fix it?

ETA : toilet paper! I just remembered. Tom only wants a very specific type of Cottonelle TP. Like he's crazy particular about the particular variety WITHIN the brand. I think it's only the Ultra, but NOT on the wide roll or something totally insane like that. It's to the point where I've bought the wrong one so many times (it's toilet paper, for Pete's sake!) that I won't even buy it anymore. It's all on him.

I'm laughing Peppermint because I'm picky about the tp, too. It's Cottonelle with the purple label, even my son can buy the right stuff. Only real qtips here too because the others just aren't soft enough. Purina One salmon and tuna or NO ONE is eating it, they will waste away to nothing with anything else. My son will eat pretty much any chip out there but my favorite are Sprouted Blue Tortilla Chips by Garden of Eatin'. Eggo waffles are the best, only Coffeemate brand creamer, Barilla pasta, Purex detergent and Downy softener. I guess we're pretty picky too.

Oh well I didn't even think about my pets. My one cat, the older one, will only eat one brand of dry kibble (Eagle Holistic, Indoor Multi-Cat) and will ONLY eat it if the bag hasn't been open longer than 2 weeks. So we have to buy the medium sized bag, because if we buy the big one he'll stop eating it halfway through. And he'll only eat the Wellness SLICED Turkey and Gravy. Not the MINCED Turkey & Gravy, not the CRUSHED Turkey and Gravy. Only the SLICED one.

The other cat he'll eat anything. Especially cords. He loves cords.

Our cats are brand specific about cords...there's something about HTC cords that they love..the LG and Samsung are untouched but they can't stay away from the HTC cords.

Y'all are crackin' me up!! LOL

Growing up, it was Heinz Ketchup or nothing, Reynolds Wrap Tinfoil was the only tinfoil, and and Miracle Whip or bust. Something else was Ortega Taco Seasoning, all other packets were crap.

Today I still stick to Reynolds Wrap but thankfully I found a recipe for taco seasoning that is just as good as Ortega! I can't eat ketchup anymore but if I could it would still be Heinz. LOL

Oh and batteries - it must be energizer or duracel.

I won't share brands because they're italian and you won't recognize them, but I'm sooo brand-oriented for:
- Cheese (taleggio & mozzarella)
- Pasta
- toothpaste
- Drink (as in Coca-cola ^__^)
- tea

My dresses are made by a specific brand, but only because the shop is near home ^__^ so it's not for the quality or else ^__^

and my cat. I don't know where to start. He wants ONLY a specific brand, and ONLY tuna (tuna with..everything, but tuna should be inside). AND we should mix with some water. AND we should add a snack (Gimpet cheese rollies). we have to crumble a rollie or two and put on the top of his food (I usually say "put the parmigiano on his pasta", even though it's not parmigiano and of course it's not pasta.. ^___^). Then MAYBE he will eat it.. He was not so picky and spoiled as a kitty..but it's old now :) :)

I'm not brand oriented at all for my shoes for example..

aaaah and a phone/tablet should only be Apple of course ^_________^

I can't really think of anything specifically. Like I won't buy knock offs, my bags are Coach/Vera/Dooney/etc, but other than that, I just buy whatever.

I stick with the same dog food because as long as their diet is consistent, they don't stinky fart. :rofl

I buy a bunch of our groceries at Aldi, so that's mostly off brand.

I'm only brand specific on some things.
My DH only likes Charmin tp, so I only buy that. I've tried sneaking the Target brand and he wasn't fooled, although it looked exactly the same to me.
I only buy Kraft singles.
I like a lot of the Wegmans store brand stuff.... their mac & cheese is actually better to me than Kraft (gasp!) and it's less than $.50 a box.
I only use Downy liquid, no other fabric softeners in this house.
If I were to actually buy soda, I only get Coke products. Pepsi products are gross to me.
I very rarely buy name brand drugs. Generic is the same thing, so why pay for the label?
I think that's it... :)

I only buy EOS lip balm because ones with lots of fake stuff give me hives. That's about it except stuff for my son. He eats a lot of the earth's best nuggets, ravioli, etc. because it's organic and whole grain. I like a lot of target products.

And Perry's ice cream unless it's from an actual ice cream parlor.
