Pad Patter: 8/5 - Feet vs. Blanket

I love to wear my socks to sleep plus be under a blanket. And if any part of my body hangs over the bed, I pull them back quickly. God forbid, if a monster gets them!!!!

Until I moved to LA, I ALWAYS wore socks to bed because my feet were permanent blocks of ice year 'round. These days, my feet/legs move in and out from the covers to control my body temp. It's nice not wearing socks all the time. (I still do sometimes, tho, but not often)

It's true...if you are covered up there is NO WAY a monster can get you.

I am one of those weird people who have to sleep with a heavy blanket even if it's summer. So right now, even though it is really hot, I am sleeping with a comforter. And my feet - and sometimes my legs - stuck out. And the fan going, of course. LOL

In the winter I have as many as three comforters. But I like my room really cold but my bed toasty.

But whatever the season, I sleep with my head under the comforter. My reasoning? Maybe if the monster just sees my ugly toes it will move along... Or it could be that my room faces the parking lot at my apartment. My apartment is basement level so headlights hit my bed just right so it looks like two in the afternoon at 2am! Nah. It's the monster thing.

one in, one out. unless it is winter and then i usually have socks on for a while and my feet are tucked in tight.

Well I am one of those nut burgers who always wears socks to bed in winter... has a wool duvet on plus extra blankets and flannelette sheets cause I freeze my bits off and not just my toes either!

Summer though sees the wool duvet stay put and all the rest go... stinking hot nights see the soles of my feet peeping out from under the edge of the duvet and really really hot nights sees the duvet off and soles of feet peeping out from under cotton sheets...

Hate the rest of me NOT covered up though... got traumatized by a moth once after my dear uncle told me weta's (think ugly prehistoric looking bugs that could scare the pants off of you in the day time let alone at night) fly at night and when said moth buzzed me that was it forever more!

under! hubby always has to have his feet hanging out, so sometimes he pulls the blankets off of my feet... drives me mad! *lol*
