Do you shop at them? What do you buy?

I used to only have Sams, but a few years ago we finally got a Costco, which I :heartlub. Both of them are a 20 minute drive, but Costco is worth it. It's near where I run, so I usually stop in all sweaty and gross to see what they have.

This time of year I love their big boxes of strawberries. They are always so good!

I also regularly buy Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches on the cheap there.

Mostly I just walk around and buy everything. :giggle
 
I don't have one within a 45 minute drive of my house, so we don't have a membership anywhere. It's probably a good thing too because I get sucked in easily by the bulk "good deals" and buy everything in sight. :giggle
 
we do both Sams & Costco, depending on where the weekly travels take me.
 
We used to have both Sam's Club and Costco, I bought different things at both and could easily justify the membership costs in what I saved. I had a few staples that I bought at Sam's every couple of weeks, and Costco was more for gas and special purchases (the sam's nearest us didn't have a gas station). Right now our closest Sam's is about 1.5 hours away and closest costco is probably closer to 2 hours away so we don't have either. We have contemplated restarting our Sam's Club membership for things like flour and yeast (the savings on a couple of 25 lbs of bread flour and a 2lb block of yeast pretty much pays for the year membership). Especially if we combine the Sam's Club trips with times that we're already going to be the area (my family lives near one of them and we have reason to go to St. Louis from time to time).
 
We just renewed our Sams Club membership that we had let lapse because we just weren't going into the bigger town close to us that often to justify it. But, our little town is getting its very own Sam's Club approximately 1 mile from my house (opening in October) and they are signing everyone up in town for a membership that starts now and doesn't expire until October of next year. I am sure that when it is close there will be many trips there.
 
Costco. I usually buy grocery items - snacks for the kids, some produce (like strawberries & asparagus), etc. But you never know what they will have - I got cute Carter's PJs for all the girls on one trip.
 
I live in the middle of nowhere with a local small grocery store and a Walmart that is horribly stocked. Seven kids! Just the toilet paper alone is a savings with Sams! lol I buy a months worth of meat, cheeses, all my spices, and bags of frozen vegi's.
and oh their strawberries are the bomb...I eat pounds of them.
The lunch is cheap for all of us to eat, and it is an hour from my door step to the rolling huge cart!
 
Costco is 5 minutes away ..... half of what we own comes from Costco!

Mostly groceries, but we get other stuff like socks, pjs, some kids clothes, gas, photos, batteries.
 
We buy a ton in bulk. I just really hate grocery shopping, so the longer I can go without another trip is awesome. Back in Washington we were Costco members and I loved it. Here in Mississippi all we have is Sam's, which isn't terrible but I prefer Costco. So I am hoping for a Costco when we move next.

When we were in Florida we had BJ's and I loved them because they took coupons lol.
 
We have a BJ's within a pretty close drive but I don't have a membership. I SHOULD, though, since my toddler eats like a man! My mom goes there and gets stuff for us a lot...like big bags of tangerines and cereal bars etc.
 
Ooh yes the batteries! Love buying massive amounts of AA batteries, so that I can actually FIND one when I need it. LOL
 
We have a Costco membership. I print pictures there, and buy all sorts of things there. My kids love to sift through the books, we buy snacks (the Brookside dark chocolate covered blueberries are amazing), I buy ground beef there, as well as steaks and frozen chicken, milk, you name it! My 4 year old loves to go because he can sample everything.
 
WE have a Costco here in Canberra - only 15 mins away - we used to go all the time when it first opened but have had no storage space in the last year so bulk buys are just a pain. When we move, then we will start going back again. When it first opened, there was a cross between 'it's the most exciting thing to happen here' (ok, we have really bad shops here...) and 'the big American chain stores are going to ruin all the local shops' - of course now it's just another shop...
 
I've got a Sam's Club membership - which I share with my sis. I don't really use it much unless I'm having a party.
 
We have a Costco membership and go about once every couple of months. We really have to have restraint when we go in...dh will easily spend too much on books or music. I like that I can get gorgeous dresses for dd that are inexpensive. I didn't know they had such great strawberries...we will have to get some. The ones in regular grocery stores here have been horrible lately. Around here, the muffins are quite popular and they seem to show up at evey function I attend...:thumbsups
 
We go to Costco every two weeks or so. I do a fair amount of grocery shopping there, and recently they've had some decent athletic wear for my boys.

I do love the muffins. I do my best to not even steer my cart in the direction of the bakery.

The big ole chocolate cake with chocolate mousse between layers is the one all my kids always request for their birthday. YUM
