Do you keep them polished? Or bare? Are they natural, or acrylic? Perhaps shellac manicure? Do you wear bright colors, or only neutrals?

My nails peel and are thin and don't grow, so I have acrylic. I got sick of constantly breaking one in a painful way. Right now I have french since I just got a new set last week, but normally I like fun colors.

I love colors on my nails! Like to get them polished at least twice every month :) have a light pink right now but bright green next !

Mine are super thin too - I've had acrylic for about 17 years now. They're french - I used to do colors, but the tips always wore down with all my typing and paperwork, so I ditched the color quite a while ago.

My nails are short because they are thin & break easy. But sometimes when I'm feeling extra girl, I'll paint them fun colors.

i used to wear acrylics to prevent nail biting... but haven't had them in a few years b/c i always managed to scratch the kids with them.

during the warm months my toes are painted but not my finger nails. don't like polish on my fingers.

I have just started trying to keep them filed and shaped up but I do not paint them or anything like that. I am not sure that I have ever really painted my nails as an adult. I keep them cut short since I am dealing with a baby all day and don't want to scratch her. My toenails are a different story though. They always are painted and fixed up.

I wish I could keep them painted but with the amount of handwashing I do I just don't bother. Plus, I can't handle waiting for my nails to dry! lol! My toe nails on the other hand, they are always painted and in bright colors! :)

mine are natural, no acrylic here...sometimes they grow, sometimes it's all broken...but I like to use nailpolishes, always. In fact, let's say I have a not so small collection here...all colors, love me some colors!!

Normally my fingernails are un-polished. I went through a phase a few weeks ago (around Easter) where I wanted to paint them and bought some fun new colors, then my nails got so dried out I had to chop off my nails because they were splitting so bad. Normally I do not have trouble with that at all.

My toes are almost always polished in some fun bright color, but especially not that my sandals are back out of the closet! Yay!

My fingernails are a hot mess. I don't chew my nails so much anymore but I'm a cuticle biter. And my nails don't grow nicely. They break constantly.

I'd love acrylics b/c I love the look of nails but I can't keep them up, both time and $$ wise. So, they are bare most of the time. If they are ever the same length I will paint them, usually a fun color. I prefer gray or blue.

My toenails are always painted, however.

I am so not a girly girl...long nails make my skin crawl, I have to cut them right away and I don't do nail polish (although, I am making it a goal to do my toes this summer!). My sister on the other hand, is totally into this stuff, she's a nail polish blogger, LOL! She does her nails super cute like 3 times a week!

My nails peel and are thin and don't grow, so I ... don't do anything with them.

I usually keep them unpolished. I have nice, pink quicks and white nails, and they are pretty strong, too, so I could have a natural looking French manicure if I took care of my nails better. They also grow fast and quite easily. I don't bite them, but man, they break off as I work around the house. I need to even them all out...my ring and pinkie fingers always have long nails, while my first two fingers have short nails. I love the look of polished nails, but I don't like what traditional polish does to my nails...I hate it when they turn yellow after the polish is off...I guess I need to try some natural/nontoxic polishes.

I do my nails every Wednesday night. We have Accessory Thursday at work, and we count our fingernails as accessories. :giggle

I went to the trouble of buying nail guides, brushes, etc. so now I can finally REALLY do them properly. I'm doing two-colored chevrons this week, and I can't wait! :heartlub

I also bite my nails so I've had acrylics on and off since high school (on non-stop for the past 8 years). I do the pink and white acryclic, although I like to mix up the white tips with different fun colors sometimes :)

Ok polish ladies, what is the best thing for a top coat? I'd love to have them painted, but it seems they chip so quickly they only look good for a day. So mine are always bare, and I'm a biter.
