Pad Patter: 2/18 - I can't stop buying...

PENS. And notebooks.

Seriously. I could live the rest of my life on the pens and notebooks I own, yet I can't resist more.

My favorite pen is a promotional one from pens.com that you can only buy in quantities of 100 so I usually have to get really lucky and get one in the mail or steal one from a friend or whatever. But a few weeks ago, Marcs had a big bin of them for 25 for ONE DOLLAR. Wasn't easy to dig through there to find 25 of them, and it required some reassembly of some, but now I have 25 of them and can rest for a day or 2.

But I also have Sharpies in every color, ink pens in every color/shape/etc. Notebooks in every size also. The cuter the better. Some so cute I refuse to write in them because I'll ruin them. What's wrong with me?

Do you have an obsession? Stuff you buy even when you don't need another one EVER?

Cookbooks and purses. I wish my obsessions were as cheap as pens!

Although, I do also collect empty boxes. Because you never know when you need the perfect box. For whatever.

Ugh - I do - too many.. Scrap supplies for one. And then, T-shirts, striped anything, shoes, bags... It goes on. I suddenly feel like I need to do some spring cleaning!

Project Life supplies. I'm always like, "I could totally use that!" But I don't. I take way too many pictures to use all the cute filler cards I buy. {sigh}

And baby girl clothes. But really, who can blame me? {Even Joel is like, "She would look cute in that...}

I'm like that with notebooks - mostly Moleskine notebooks. Pens not so much but I do have a favorite and I guard it faithfully.

I had a girl after 2 boys. She had clothes she never even wore because there were so many, she'd grow out of them before I got around to putting them on her. :giggle

Mugs! I love them and always want new ones, I got a new Starbucks one for Christmas in white and they now do it in black, so that's my Mother's Day gift sorted!

Pjs, also, I own more pjs than regular clothes! Living with chronic pain day in day out is best done wearing something comfy, I am much bolder with colour choices with pjs, the bolder and quirkier the better, where as clothes tend to be blacks, navy, denim and occasionally other shades of blue

I also love pens and notebooks, but my greatest obsession is purses! I have so many and don't know any more where to store them...
When I see a shop with purses I have to go inside...

Nail polish.

I also have my favorite pens. I love the Sharpie pens but I go through them so quickly that I can't keep buying them. The pens I really love, I haven't been able to find for awhile. I hate gel type pens, I want roller ball. SUPER fine.

shot glasses.....I seriously have so many I ran out of room to showcase them !!!! I also collect bags (as opposed to purses) and the more unique the better...my MIL and SIL both made me awesome fabric bags for Christmas and they have lots of pockets!!!

Me too!!!!!! I love all the office supplies! Labels, markers, pens, post-it, notebooks, pins, binders, binder clips, papers (in all colors)... everything!

hmmmm it seems to change.. the pen obession, been there lol!! fineliners in all rainbow colors!!! Don't think I have one atm? if so it would be knitting books and yarn :P

I've never had one before, my sister is OBSESSED with nail polish, she has hundred's of bottles and I tease her about it all the time! I am guilty of buying scrap supplies just because I might need them though, lol!

I collect notebooks too. I also can't go past an office supply place without looking, love clips, pens and markers the most. The kids laugh that I never need more pens yet I still can't pass up the pretty colored ones.

I would say chap sticks/lip glosses. I always lose the chap sticks. And the lip glosses, well it's usually because it's pretty and sparkly and I don't have that one already.

Angie, I'm with you on the pen obsession. I'm constantly in search of the ultimate writing experience. LOL Right now my favorite pen for regular writing is the Pilot G-2. But that will change in a few weeks. I also love sharpies. And now I can justify buying even more because my daughter has inherited my Sharpie Love and they are all that she'll use when she's coloring.

Pjs, also, I own more pjs than regular clothes! Living with chronic pain day in day out is best done wearing something comfy
This is me! I have chronic pain too and spend the majority of my time in comfy clothes...PJs, sweatpants, yoga pants...It's hard for me to believe that I used to love dressing up and wearing heels. High heels at that. If I had to wear them now I think it would kill me.

I another one to buy notebooks and pens just because I think I NEED them, and then I don't want to write in the pretty ones. {eyeroll}

I also buy a ton of hair products, not that you'd know by looking at me. I'm in search of the perfect products to save me time doing my curly thick mess of hair. I found a leave-in conditioner that also has just a touch of sticky to it AND I love the smell of it (which is another requirement for a good product that it smells good) and I just ran out and my store doesn't carry it anymore! I was SO sad. I bought another product by the same brand hoping it would be the same and it so is NOT! I'm having a bad hair day today because of it. And that bottle will go under the sink with all the other products that I've tried that just aren't quite right. Sigh.

Right now, it's exercise DVDs. I've had to cut way back on digi supplies. I have so much I haven't used yet. Another obsession I hold myself back on is blank journals/notebooks. Pens used to be a HUGE one, but I never heard of those bulk pens Angie talks about? Another past obsession was paper Scrapbooking supplies: but compared to some SB crafters, it was minor (I tell myself). It figures I was diagnosed with OCD a few months ago.
