Did you make resolutions for 2013? Set goals? Choose a word?

How's it going?

I've never made an actual resolution, but I did join that Diet Bet game that started Jan 1st. Today I hit my 4% target, so now I have to hold on until Wednesday. But it really has helped keep me honest. I am going to do it one more time and see if I can't lose another 4%. That should get me back to fighting weight and then I can decide from there. I SHOULD lose another 10 after that, but it's so hard to maintain. We'll see.

I'm not much for resolutions but I always re-energize my excercise and healthier eating habits after the gluttony that is the holiday season. LOL. So far... I'm doing just okay. I had intended to start working out after I get home from picking the kids up, but this month I've been MUCH more interested in keeping up with the daily challenges here. :giggle

That's awesome that you're sticking with your diet bet. I just added your blog to my google reader a few weeks ago and I've been enjoying all the recipe links you've been posting. I just tried the turkey sausage pasta sauce with the ricotta cheese in it a few nights ago and everyone in my family gave that a big thumbs up. I printed the Santa Fe chicken to try next week too. :)

Glad someone is reading that. I'm growing weary of doing it. LOL. I think once this round is over, I'll go to weekly highlights or something.

I'm running out of exciting things to make for breakfast and lunch. Honestly I'm not that picky and would eat the same thing every day, I just mix it up for the sake of the blog. Haha.

No more resolutions here. Just a conscience effort to make improvements in myself. My OLW was Organize but all I've managed to do so far this month is keep up what I had completed....so at least I haven't completely gone back to the messy side of life. I think the cold weather has not helped motivate me too much either. But I'll keep striving to do better. :)

i too didn't make a formal resolution.. but i've started re-focusing on getting to the gym and eating better etc etc etc boring lame bah. LOL. so far it's going well.. and hey, the resolutioners at the gym have died down - I was there the other day and there were only like 5 people there ^__^ YES. I had taken the entire month of december off from the gym to be ho hum.. but it's time to work on getting my legs strong enough to run outside in the spring yay.

I heard them called "Januarians" and loved it.

And yes, I stay far away from the gym in January. I'm all for people getting fit and healthy but man... gym etiquette is lost on some of these people. I don't think you need to be fit to know that you should wipe your sweat off a machine or not talk loudly on the phone next to someone.

ugh....... ugh. yes. i hate people. i have to blast my music so loudly to drown out the more obnoxious folks.. I blame them when i go deaf in a couple years.

I am sad. I despise Gyms, and actually walk/run past one daily. except when it is freezing! We only have about 6-8 weeks of pure icy cold and I am at the end of that time. Spring is beginning to sprung here, and to be back exercising :circles outside is my favorite!

I did choose a word: Listen. I think I may have holes in my tongue from holding it....:heheso I will listen before speaking...argh...it is a touch one!

Breakfast is always the one I struggle with too. I'm like you though, if I find something easy and healthy I'll eat it everyday for a year or until I get really sick of it. I just pinned something yesterday on Pinterest that was quick and healthy ideas for breakfast. Of course I haven't actually looked at it yet.

I chose Organize as my OLW and it's going ok... I've been purging here and there and just trucking away at it... pretty soon my van is going to be full of stuff to bring to goodwill LOL

I didn't set any yearly resolutions this year, but I did pick seven goals - some small, some bigger - for this month. (1) lose 1 pound, (2) complete the January challenges here [which replaced finishing my 2012 PL album, which I moved to Feb], (3) send my 2012 Christmas cards (ouch!) and thank-you cards, (4) hang curtain in living room, (5) get organized (paper stuff, routines, etc), (6) once healthy, lift weights 2-3 times per week, and (7) complete prompts for Art of Composition class. I should have been able to easily complete all 7 of those goals, but I've only felt healthy a few days this month, and I spent three of those good days traveling. I'm on track to lose a pound by February even though I haven't been exercising much. I have 17 of the 31 layouts done for the challenges here - and considering that I decided to do the challenges on the 14th, I'm in great shape with those. Plus, I've been making good progress with my organization. Otherwise, not so much. I still have a week left, right?

I chose Joy as my OLW, then switched to Cultivate early in the month. I'm still not feeling either one, though. I'm not sure if it's the choice of word or that I've felt blah pretty much all month.

No formal goals or resolutions here either! I have been eating healthier and exercising almost everyday now in this month - down about 3 lbs. Haven't hardly drank any pop - which is HUGE for me, and have been staying away from Taco Bell and McDonalds as well - another huge feat! Just this morning I got my 5k down under 30 min. so I was pretty excited about that too! My word of the year this year is "opportunity" - I want to use up every opportunity I can, when I can!

30 minute 5k is a big deal! Took me a long time to be able to do that.

I chose 'pursue' as my OLW. My OLW-related goal for January was to pursue flow (purging + organizing). I can't really take credit for Hubs reorganizing the cabinets and fridge and detailing my car today, but I'm gonna, anyways! :giggle

I chose a word (wellness) and set goals. I am doing good so far, especially with my main goal of exercise and healthier eating. I joined Curves and am also doing ViSalus, so between those I am well on my way and hopefully I will continue throughout the year!

I chose such a passive OLW- progress. I think I did it so I wouldn't feel too bad at the end of the year when I've only made a little bit!!! I feel like for the month of January I've almost been at a stand still. I can't wait for it to warm up some and then I think I'll be "thawed out" enough to do things :)

my resolutions are not really resolutions - they are more like a daily thing to eat more, move less.... oh wait (fingers before brain! lol). move more, eat less. leading to my word for the last three years, "move."

Ahem. Blog link please.

Apparently the new year's fairy forgot to spread her dust on me, because my motivation is at zero.
I had simple goals, but apparently complacency is my enemy.
