Let's learn 5 Random Facts! About YOU.....and me!

This is so fun!!

Angie- I am TOTALLY with you on the making money out of hobbies thing! I have sold jewelry on etsy, and that's how I became a scrap designer!

So here's a few about me:

1) I had a spinal fusion when I was 24 in my thoracic spine, so I have two titanium rods holding the middle of my spine together.
2) I have a LONG list of fears, including flying (HATE IT), driving over bridges, claustrophobic, and the list goes on. Basically, I am a control freak, and if I'm not in control, I'm not a happy camper.
3) End of the Road by Boys 2 Men is one of my all time favorite songs
4) I should have been valedictorian in my high school, but we moved when I was a junior and I got screwed out of my class ranking at the new school. Despite that being a long time ago, I'm still miffed on my missed achievement.
5) I'm slowly turning my family into vegetarians and have only been cooking vegetarian dinners for the last few weeks. I have texture issues with food, and am pretty sure I won't miss meat at all.

Would love to swap some vegetarian recipes with you Amy! I told the kids they had to eat vegetarian at least 2 nights a week and they hem and haw about it but honestly I feel so much better since cutting out meat I think they will eventually to. I haven't gotten sick nearly as much as I did at this time last year and we live in a cold weather climate now.

I'm so glad you started this thread Mirjam! It's so much fun learning more about everyone. Me? I'm pretty boring, but I managed to come up with 5 random facts....

1. I'd have no problem eating cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
2. I'm obsessed with playing the claw machine.
3. I have fibromyalgia.
4. I have telephone anxiety. If I don't call you back it's nothing personal. :)
5. My elbows are like Amanda's and can bend around in the wrong direction. It totally grosses my son out.

1. I could go a year without eating ice cream.
2. I attended a one-room schoolhouse for 3 years (grades 4-6).
3. I have 11 piercings in my ears.
4. The sound or feeling of thin plastic (such as a fountain pop lid) scraping anything (especially skin!) makes me breakout in goosebumps and get ragey every time I hear it.
5. I had my nose broken when I was 10 while playing catch with my stepdad. I took a baseball to the shnoz and since then, profiles, glasses, etc. have not been my friend.

Well, aren't you an interesting one?!

Seriously. This is all I could come up with. I could tell you about intense hate of the word epic and almost all 80s music and music, and the mole on my arm, but I don't want you to get too excited.

Laura I get asked about the dad thing too, but I think with me it's because I have so many and started so young. :p

*sigh*
Lets see if I can think up 5...
1. There are certain things that I need to be a certain way or done in a certain order. For example, I have to load the dishwasher in the same order every time (cups, bowls, plates, containers, little things, silverware). I can't even watch if it is not done that way. It makes me fidgety and angry.
2. I don't like people touching my hair or my back. I will freak out on anyone who does. John is the only person allowed to touch my back. And when he dyed my hair it was pure torture.
3. I will not eat food that is artificially bright orange or green. They make me feel pukey just thinking about eating them.
4. I'm so bad at math that I had to take TWO remedial non-credit math classes in college. It took me 3 tries to pass the math portion of the ACT.
5. John calls me an old woman because not only do I often sit and knit while reading and listening to the TV but I also already have arthritis.

Wow, it's amazing how much you can learn from just a handful of facts.

1. I have 5 brothers. Half brothers really as both my parents remarried and had boys after they divorced. I always wanted a sister and in a weird way feel like I'm an only child.
2. I have many around the house quirks. Toilet paper hanging the "right" way, completely anal about how the kitchen and bathrooms are cleaned etc. Totally normal stuff.
3. I lived and worked in Buenos Aires for several months a few years ago.
4. I am desperately missing hockey this season.
5. I rarely ever watch tv.

Deal! Let me know when you come across a good one, and I'll do the same! Want to know one of my coolest Christmas gifts? My crazy talented green thumb mother in law grew me a garden!! I am now the proud owner of kale, spinach, Swiss chard, basil, cilantro, parsley, thyme, and rosemary! Now I just hope I can keep it alive!

Here goes:

I hate mayonnaise pretty much most of the time (only allowed in tuna or egg salad). Once I had to sit next to my boss's daughter while she sucked mayonnaise out of a packet at Chick-fil-a. I'm surprised I could even eat I was so nauseous.

I wore corrective shoes as a child so became a real shoe hoarder as a young adult. I've calmed down with it since then.

I had abdominal surgery about 8 years ago and still have pretty much no feeling across most of my midsection to this day. So I can get big marks if my pants hit in the wrong place and not even feel it.

I am obsessive about how my Christmas ornaments are stored, in the original box if I still have it or grouped with other like ornaments stacked like a jigsaw puzzle in my three huge ornament bins in the closet.

I absolutely hate drawbridges. Not very fond of those huge bridges over water where it's too far to the other side. I know I'd never be able to go to the Keys.
