It's Monday! What's happening?

Another Monday! It's Halloween week and DSD, so I am sure most of us will be busy! What's happening for you?

For me, there's lots to do to get ready for a big DSD party here at the Pad! I can't wait...so FUN! I am also room mom for my kindergartener's class, so I am in charge of their Halloween party on Wednesday. Otherwise, I am just keeping an eye on Hurricane Sandy and thinking about all my friends/family on the East Coast.

Miss Roxy has to go to the vet today :( She has two teeth they think are abscessed and will probably have to come out. They'll know better when they get them cleaned. I'm really upset she might lose two teeth this young! So lots of babying my baby when I bring her home tonight.

Other than that, work. It's supposed to rain off and on most of the week. I'm working from home Wednesday, and we're doing the whole giving out candy thing (although I don't know how many kids actually go door to door these days).

it's going to be a busy week here! just normal stuff - scrapping, cleaning, cooking, kids classes + halloween :)

the girls' schools and classes are cancelled today, so we are just hanging out watching movies, doing crafts and hopefully i can get some scrapping done (i am behind! big time!) ... hopefully the storm won't be too bad here in boston ... (sending best wishes to all the other east coasters too!)

my oldest has a halloween parade on wednesday and then we have a little party down the street + trick or treating.

and i am VERY excited about this weekend :) i am spending all day saturday and sat night in a hotel alone! woohoo! (well, i think i'll meet the kids and DH for dinner and have the kids go swimming at the hotel pool - but otherwise i'll be free to scrap, scrap, scrap! )

I'm not quite sure what to do with myself. I did all the laundry yesterday. Saturday I set up a blog and started writing at the Akron Marathon recap and caught up to current (so, a month's worth of posts in a day). I'm not running because I'm still nursing a couple minor post-marathon issues that I don't want to get worse. The house is relatively tidy. I COULD study but it's so rainy and blah that I can't really focus on it.

So I'm just gonna read the entire internet.

I start my workout routine this week. 5 am --- yikes. I also have DSD layouts to make + the guest Polly call to apply for. :thumbsups

We have Halloween Wednesday night, of course. I'm hoping to talk my MIL into making us dinner (since they watch Miss Monkey during the day) so we can ToT in their neighborhood early and get home in time for the Charlie Brown Halloween special on ABC.

House guest (friend of DH's) arriving tomorrow night, staying 'til Friday I think. (House is not ready.)
DS's D&D club tomorrow afternoon.
Parent chaperone meeting for 5th grade camping trip tomorrow night.
Neighborhood Halloween Trick-or-Treat parade Wednesday night.
Girl Scouts Thursday night.

In between all that... lots of homework as both kiddos have major projects going on, designing, regular housework, designing, and... let's see... more designing!

Hopefully just cleaning and working on my DSD stuff!! It's gonna be one big party in here this weekend! Can't wait. We already had our fall fest at church Saturday night so nothing on for Halloween.

Looks like a busy busy week all around.

We are of course in the same boat. We have Halloween parade at school on Wednesday and momma needs to cough up two (yes I just typed TWO) vocabulary costumes by Wednesday. ACK! Then we have trick or treating and our community festival Wed night. :pigout Friday we have baseball game and for Pete's sake it's DSD weekend. WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! Saturday an early morning baseball game and did I mention is't DSD weekend? AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

:dizzy

:imok

I'm sure I'll find plenty to keep me busy this week, but I don't really care what else happens as long as I have this BABY!! Due date is Friday, it's just a mind game at this point.

Oooh sounds like a busy busy week for everyone!

It is for me too. My mom arrived this weekend for a visit so she's here, which I LOVE and thankfully she's very understanding about the busy of DSD which is what is filling my week mostly. Lots and lots of designing and crafting and writing this week. Plus Halloween activities at school and after school on Wednesday.

Hoping everyone has a wonderful week and those on the East Coast stay safe during Sandy. :beat

Squee!! I'm so excited for you!! Hope you get to meet and hug your little one this week!

just the normal routine with the addition of getting ready for DSD :)

homeschool in the mornings, 5K training/running on Tuesday and Thursday, Moriah's ballet on Monday, Moriah and Isaac's got Awanas and I have worship team rehearsal on Wednesday night... and somewhere in there I have all sorts of fun stuff to prep for DSD... oh, and the kiddos are sick.... oh, and trick or treating on Wednesday LOL... ok, maybe it's not such a normal week after-all LOL

Busy and cold week ahead. Our ATOM (8 - 10 yr olds) team won yesterday while playing outside in weather that was -12C with the wind chill. Most of those boys have no body fat, so they were frozen. But winning means another playoff game, so they have practices and a game this week too.

Tonight: Beaver Scouts, football practice,
Tuesday: swimming for both boys, carving pumpkins, figuring out costumes for dead ninja zombies (where did they get that idea? have I seen the last of cute photogenic costumes? leSigh!)
Wednesday: Halloween (which thankfully is the indoor Halloballoo since it is darn cold here!).
Thursday: football practice
Friday: pre-game dinner for the football team + coaches (dh is the trainer)
Saturday: soccer practice, then football playoff game; church at night
Sunday: soccer game

Phew!

I'll be thinking of our East Coast friends, and also Lynnette - wishing you happy and healthy delivery!

Damn that went fast. For me anyway. :rofl

I've got training on Tuesday and Wednesday so there won't be too much I'll get done but hopefully will make it home in time to see all the grandkids stop by in their costumes before they head out for Trick or Treating!

Yesterday was a great day and great beginning of the week within our family and some healing has started with my youngest....who is 26 y/o. It's been quite crazy around our place for the past 6 weeks but I think we're gonna be alright! Finally!

Lynette! Congratulations chickie and we will definitely be awaiting pictures of your new baby!

I'm home today from work - furlough day (I work for a school district). So, I'm doing laundry and dishes, etc. Nothing fun or exciting. :/

We have a Trunk or Treat at church on wednesday, and I have two flyers I need to design and have printed before then. We're doing a special Friday night worship service, so we'll be going to that. Then a wedding on Saturday and sneaking away as much as I can to check out the DSD activities. It's my first DSD and I don't want to miss it!

We're done with football and soccer, so it's just swim, basketball and scouts for the boys this week. I'm in charge of my youngest's class party on Wednesday so I've been prepping for that. And scrapping lots! :D

We are bunkered down today with this storm. It's starting to get really noisy outside. I didn't have to work today and I can work from home if I need to tomorrow. I just hope we don't lose power!

Sounds like everyone's got a busy week this week!

I was preparing for me and my sister's trip to NY for this weekend but I'm thinking it's definitely a no-go. :( I'm so bummed. We've been planning this since August. Stupid Sandy. What a bi*@#!!

Speaking of... hope everyone in her path stays safe! Thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family! :beat
