Pad Patter: 10/12 - Today I'm Happy For/About...

What are you happy for today?

Me? The new fridge that came yesterday! OMG! I'm in love. My old one was just a tiny upright from 15 years ago, and the light burned out about 8 years ago (it wasn't the bulb, we tried that, idk what was wrong).

Remember when I went gangbusters tearing out cabinets in my kitchen? It was to make room for a new fridge.

My new one is glorious and huge. When I opened it (it's a side by side with the freezer on the bottom) and the light came on, I was like AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I swear I heard angels.

So, that's my silly joy for today. What's yours?
 
Hmm... mine is more for tomorrow, but I'm planning a trip to Ikea and I actually have several hundred dollars saved up to spend so I'm going to have a regular ol shopping spree! Whee!

Angie... I still haven't seen pictures of your kitchen once you finished painting your cabinets! I wanna see!
 
Congrats!!!!

We just got a new fridge and had the angels sing a couple of months ago. I'm still in love with it. I just polished all of the fingerprints away yesterday. :giggle

I'm happy that I'm a guest polly this month. I feel like I won a scrap lottery. :D

I wish I had a new fridge...ours is tiny and makes loud noises when the compressor switches on (makes me jump everytime) and yaaay for IKEA...we only live about 30 minutes from one so we visit a few times a year.

And here's my happy news:
DH lost his job on Wed. and was able to start a new one today..so I'm extremely thankful that he was only unemployed for one day. The new job is only part time for now, so there's still some concern, but I know it could have been so much worse. I'm still a bundle of nerves and can't wait until he gets home to find out how his day went, but from the quick phone call and couple of texts he's sent it all sounds good.

It's an awesome thing isn't it? I would be so happy (and get so much more scrapped) if I could figure out how to be a guest every month..lol.
 
It's still not done. I need to get off my arse and order the new countertop.

But here's what the cabinets look like:

I love them so much! I smile every time I go in there. Cept when there's dishes on the counter, then I rage.
 
But as you see - no blacksplash and same ugly counter. 100% laziness right there.

I'm happy that I got to sleep in this morning, I got homemade birthday cards from the kids and breakfast in bed... I'm happy because I'm having a girls night out scrap/craft night at my house tomorrow night and I get to meet a few local digi girls in person that I haven't met yet... happy that our kitchen is in the final stages of being done and tomorrow is the first time I'll be entertaining after all the renovations... Sarah and Kim get to see the huge transformation in person... last time they were here we had just bought the cabinets and were still working out the floor plan and how we were going to do it :)
 
Today I'm happy about this little burst of lovely weather we are having. It's so pleasant outside I can hardly believe it. Granted next week we are forecasted in the high 90s again, but I'll take what I get when I can get it. It's actually only 72 degrees at the moment :beat
 
Here's a better view. I'm pretty happy with the transformation considering all I bought was the cabinet hardware (and I got it at IKEA for like $100 total), and some paint.

My bestie (who also digi scraps) is coming to visit for FOUR WHOLE DAYS next Wednesday!! :beat:beat:beat
 
I'm happy its Saturday, and the sun is shining and the sky is blue but it is still lovely and cool! Perfect day to bake a cake .... that I won't be eating :)
 
I'm happy it's Friday and that I have two whole days off without having to work. I'm happy my son is over his hives from Monday. I'm happy my daughter registered to vote before the deadline. I'm happy that I'm hopefully going to order a new computer next week.
 
i'm happy that it's friday and i have the evening off! it's cold and rainy outside (which i'm actually also loving) and i plan to stay in all night and scrap while i catch up on grey's anatomy and eat pizza! boyfriend is away for the weekend and i'm looking forward to my night in!
 
The baby makes me SO. Happy. She's so happy and snuggly and stinkin' adorable. And to think I said I didn't want another one!

Also, 3 months ago we packed up 5 boxes of books & things (including ALL of our childrens books and videos, my PL album and my Arrested Development videos) to be shipped by boat to Manila, and they arrived this week! It was kind o like Christmas. I've looked through my PL album no less than ten times, lol.
 
wow the cabinets turned out so pretty Angie & yeah on the new fridge!!! Loving Ikea and always/well never have enough money with me to spend, I want it all!! Yeah on the guest spots ladies and a digifriend who's visiting, ALWAYS fun!! And Kellie....woohoo for baby snuggles!!! Oh and Kat a new PC is always a joy, right?! :D

I'm soooo over the moon excited since I finally found & bought THE perfect and cute wintercaot for our girl! I saw one last weekend, but wasn't too sure...saw some online, but scard of buying something big as a coat online...I wanna see what it lookes like! On thursday I went back to the store where I saw that cute coat, but still not sure!! hehe...I'm an awful pain in behind sometimes! Then thrusday I afternoon I saw about 6 stores with my mom, but still not the coat I was looking for!!!

I thought today my plan to look again was going up in smoke when our girl turned out to have a 39.2 fever :( But since she was all happy when she took her nap, we just went and finally found it!!! Also bought a cute matching scarf & hat with it too.... Sad thing though is that our girl again had a fever of 39.5 tonight :( Hope it's not my bad for taking her to this one store... I just had to!
 
I'm happy that my dad and I were able to cut down as many trees as we did. And that the weather somewhat cooperated!
 
I am pretty happy today! I went to my niece's soccer game and got to spend some time with the kids! And I'm going to NY Comic Con tomorrow!!!! :)
 
I'm happy that I scrapped this week! After two and a half months of a sucky mojo, I actually like the pages I did! And part of that meant turning down the voice in my head that criticizes every little thing I do :D
