Lets actually talk about scrapping for today. :thumbsups

Go look at your gallery - what seems to be the one thing you do every time without realizing it.

Mine seems to be the solid white background. :giggle I don't even realize I'm doing it, especially because the last thing I do for every page is try all the papers as the background. I build the layout on either white or black or whatever I THINK I'm going to end up liking, but sometimes I do change it at the end when I cycle them through. Apparently, though, I really like white. lol

Great subject today!

I definitely love to use string and ribbon on my pages. No doubt about that! I do journal something as well so I know I'm pretty consistent with the one thing that I wanted to have on my pages.

hahaha! use everything?

no, I really think I use paint or stamps without really thinking about it. For some reason, they always wind up on my page even before I start piling on the ellies. :)

Even though I tend to only use 1 (or no) photo and very few embellishments most of my pages are very full, with almost no white space. And when I have white space I tend to use patterned papers to fill it up.

For me, it seems to be light solid paper for backgrounds. Looks like I usually even blend it down a little lighter sometimes. Also, I use word art, mostly word strips. And, of course, a big ole block of journaling usually...

LOL for a while I did use an either white or neutral cream or tan background paper, but I decided to purposely branch out :)

Now, I have to have lots of texture, or at least a little. I like to have paint on my background or splatters of something and scatters.

I love a good strong title... most of my pages have titles that use a font + alpha/wordart or more than one font.

Light, airy colors. I hardly ever work with bold, dark colors. I also tend to use neutral background papers and I use lots of paint and this is just another chance for me to say how much I love Krista's stamped alpha because I tend to reach for it A LOT on my pages lol. Stamped titles was something I loved in my paper scrapping days but was just always to lazy to do because I hated the clean up so now I probably overuse stamped titles because I can stamp all I want in photoshop and I don't have to wash out one thing. Gotta love digi!!

ETA: I forgot, it appears I can't scrap without Sara, Amy, Val and Emily because almost all my pages are using their templates. I can't even express how happy I am these ladies make templates :)

Hmmm...I seem to need a neutral background of some sort and generally compose everything in a linear kind of way. Oh and white space. My brain needs it apparently.

I go through phases. Bold patterned backgrounds for a while and then blues, neutrals, shades of orange.. I don't realize I'm doing it until I've uploaded a new page and see it next to the ones surrounding it. I've also gone through (lengthy) phases of NEEDING a border on my pages whether it's doodled, painty or taped it had to be there. The last thing I always do without exception before calling a page complete is switch up the BG papers. I usually end up with 3 or 4 and then just hide the layers and debate which works best.

/highfive

I am very into square corners and straight edges all in line. Evenly spaced photos too. Must be something to do with my training as a CAD designer.

Colors--I must have bright, bold colors. Also, I like to have things squished together but I still haven't mastered clustering in the way I want to.

Kraft or white background. Always. Except, it's not that I don't realize it - it's that I can't not do it.

Misting is prevalent, as is stitiching and a typewriter font (usually Heather's The Silver Reed). And white space, of course.

My layouts are all kind of different. The only thing that seems to be consistently similar is that I like to use LOTS of photos! lol

White, black or aqua backgrounds apparently... and always messy- oh and lots of wood backgrounds... Interesting to look at your work in a different way.

pretty much just messy really. my life played out on paper...
