honey boo boo - i'm actually watching it.

my oldest has been loving the toddlers and tiaras and now she's watching honey boo boo - this show is ... different. that little girl is something else.... and my oldest thinks she's nuts and fun to watch...
 
I didn't even know about the show until tonight - I just stopped by the TLC site to check to see if there were any updates on the Duggar family. I didn't particularly like what I saw of toddlers and tiaras, so I'm sure I won't be into this one either. :)
 
No. This one is not "good tv".... My daughter wants to do a pageant. I told her if she didn't look at judges she wouldn't win, and she replied, "mom, I just wanna do them to have fun." (she's 8 lol) This is the first time she's shown any interest in anything. Now she wants to do cheerleading, dance, and pageant... fabulous :) lol.

if i were to compare this - i would say it's her version of jersey shore. ridiculous behavior and crazy kids. only not at the shore and completely different crazy activities.

I saw the preview the other night...for a minute I just thought it was another silly commercial, and then I saw the air date/time...I was a little in shock. lol!!! I can see the Jersey Shore comparison....that little girl and her family seemed a little other there just from the short clip they showed.
 
I really wish people wouldn't watch this stuff (Jersey Shore and the Kardashians included). You're just encouraging them!! :rofl

Ditto!! But then I watch the bachelor and bachelorette. How stupid are those? Just as bad IMO.

I actually watched Toddlers & Tiaras and not only the kids are nuts but their mamas need a good attitude adjustment. I just thought that Honey Boo-Boo is all staged like most of the reality tv shows these days. And that family (from the previews) give us southerners a bad name!

mmhmm. I mean I'm from Ohio, transferred to Florida - even in Ohio where I lived was country... and that show is trumped up craziness. I agree with the mom's on Toddlers and Tiaras... I'm like WHOA on about 95% of the moms. There are a slight few who seem like genuine moms with good sportsmanship. It's a weird industry I'll give ya that. Brooklynn and my youngest are signed up for a NATURAL pageant in September... so there won't be any fake-ness to my girls, lol. And I'm not going to be all diva-psyco-mom-ish... Just something the girls want to try, lol.

Back to honey boo boo - I kept going like - ugh, ew... oh - gross.... I think the oddity of it all is what kept my daughter from changing the channel...
 
I watched a few episodes of Toddlers and Tiaras on Netflix with my mom once. ((For some reason she loves to have bad TV binges every so often)) All I kept thinking was all of them needed some serious come to Jesus talks... and the moms needed a good slap upside the back of the head.

((Mind you - I think this about most reality TV. lol I hate reality TV.))
