I am seriously :furious with Photobucket!! For several weeks it's been a hot mess... links are broken or not there at all (like, i can't even click on 'Continue to Album'... it's just text with no link). The formatting is WAY screwing... text overlapping, ad photos on top of vital Photobucket stuff (like the log in button or the upload link). I H.A.T.E. that site.

Does anyone know of another good site to upload and store / share photos?

Ugh... that's awful. It's main place I use for linking up pictures for the forum here and my blog. Hmph.

For sharing pictures with family members though I use Shutterfly. You can create your own share sites (personalized websites) and then add friends and family and then whenever you upload pictures or create a new album, they will get an email with a link to the new pics. That's kind of fun.

I really like Flickr for photo storage. I use it to upload my "starred" photos for off-site storage, store all my hi-res flattened jpgs of scrapbook layouts and all of our vacation photos. Then family can see them and download.

I feel like I've got accounts everywhere. Ug. I use PB usually for my scrapbooking. I use FB for my snapshots for family to see. I use flickr for pretty much everything. I have accounts at shutterfly, snapfish, and winkflash because I've ordered from all of them at certain times. So basically, I've got pics everywhere. My fav is flickr. Though my premium membership expired, so I need to re-up that because I have wayyyy to many pics.

I use Flickr for photo sharing with family & friends. I like that I can control who sees what.

i tried flickr... i'm missing something... how do i share the img link, like to put the layout in a forum thread for example??

i did discover, however, that photobucket works fine on IE... just not Chrome. So if i have to, i can just operate out of 2 separate browsers. not ideal but :shrug

Yeah, the IMG thing is why I use Photobucket. I think there's another one called tinypic.com but I've never used it and don't know how well it works...

I'm running Photobucket ok on Chrome. At least my layouts seem to look ok in the threads.

stacy, for me it's not the layouts... it's everything else about photobucket. the formatting is JACKED UP and the links are missing. it's a hot mess. Text is overlapping and illegible. Photos overlap text. Links are missing. Parts of the screen are cut off. It's a MESS!

And my photobucket screen looks just like it always has. My albums are there, neatly lined up, I looked and see links for all of them.

Is there some sort of "cookie" type stuff between your computer and their website you could delete to see if it fixes it?? You can tell I am NOT literate in "cookie or cache speak"...

Hmmm. I'm using Photobucket in Chrome and I've never had a problem. I wonder if you have a browser extension installed that is conflicting with their coding?

I use smugmug... I love the clean gallery look it has. I pay 5.00 a month though or you can pay 40 dollars a year.

I also use Flickr. I have used PB in the past, mostly for layouts but then stopped. If you click on the image you want to share in flickr there are a few ways to grab the link.

I took a screen shot of one of my images. Above the image on the left you can see the "share" button. If you click on it then you get a html code you can use. I usually go to the "actions" tab, then to sizes, then to 640px if I am posting it to a forum. Once the photo is on the page at that size I right click and copy the location. Then I click on the image box in the thread tools & add the link. I also like that I can make images private or public.
