What should I do? My parents were in town AND it was my first week home from the hospital with the baby. I've already planned a 6x12 insert of my dad's iPhone photos, but even with that I still have more stories and photos than I have slots. What would you do?

I would sew my design A into 12 little slots for both sides of the week, then add in as many extra inserts as I needed! :)

Sounds like you had a fun week!! And how did I not know you just had a baby?? Congrats!!!! :)

congrats kellie!!!
yes, i agree... nobody says you're limited to one insert. and you can definitely break the 4x6's up into 2 each... or do something like heather did here and make little photo grids in the 4x6 areas.

I've had multiple insert pages for a couple of big weeks this year. If you want to tell the story, include another one. No rules!!

Ok. Deep breaths. I can do multiple inserts. I can do multiple inserts.

I dunno. It just goes against my nature to do multiple inserts, lol. It's a good plan, though, and I'm willing to give it a try if you girls say it will work. ; )

And, yes, Emily, I had a baby girl on May 23. Her name is Ariana Grace, she loves to sleep, and I'm calling her my "bonus baby". Except that last night she was up off and on from 3 pm-12 am, so she's on shaky ground right now. But she DID survive a 15 hour day trip to the embassy in KL without any fussy periods at all, so I'm more willing to forgive her for fussing today.

If it were me, I'd do the 6x12, and then a G insert, with some of the images made into collages in the 4x6 slots. Any other ones that you want left big and not in collages, I'd print as 4x6s and put in a simple three pocket 4x6 insert.

Kellie, congrats on your new baby!

I'm out of town so I don't have access to my PL album to share example layouts, but I have been using the Simple Stories 6 x 8 protectors. I really LOVE how they look between the larger 12 x 12 sheets. I also find them very convenient because I can still use the 4 x 6 and 3 x 4 photos/journaling cards. I primarily use Styles #2003, 2004, 2005.

Congrats again Kellie... she's soooo beautiful, I can only imagine how many pictures you have :wub

I'm all for as many inserts as needed and I also LOVE using photo collages...

did you see Christine's blog post this week?
Storytelling with Photo Collages

and I use these all the time :wub

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :)

I don't think you mentioned this, but if you are planning on doing a baby album you can save most of the pics for that and pick your favs for PL & only have 1 insert in there.

Those 6" photo strips are perfect to put photos on a 6x12 layout as well.

Of course, Laura's new page protector find up there is going to cause me to make a few more page protector purchases!!

ohmygosh! how have i not seen these templates before?! lilly is a genius! definitely grabbing these!!

I don't have those Photostrips either. I need those!

And thanks, Laura! I loaded up on those protectors (and other miscellaneous items I can't live without) at scrapbook.com. Can't waitnto get them!

Thanks, girls!! <3 I'm glad you like them!!! I use these all the time too. Actually I'm working on a new 4x6 set. I always find myself needing more options. :)

Yay! More collages!!! I use them just about every week on my PL pages.
