What cleaning products are your favorite?

I love when my house "smells" clean. So which ones do you like the scent of? Which ones couldn't you live without?

What do you use for counters? Floors? Microwave? Bathrooms? Etc

I'm not very "clean-y" but I wanna get better! lol

I like the smell of Spic and Span, I couldn't live without my Magic Erasers... but I'm still looking for some exciting new products to inspire me to do something around here. :giggle

If I ever win the lottery...An Alice from The Brady Bunch is the first thing on my list.

I love me some Method! I use the dishsoap, all-purpose cleaner, tub and tile cleaner, glass cleaner, and, and, and ... It's my favorite!!

And yes, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers have rock star status in my house!

I'm not a very "cleany" either, but I typically use vinegar for most of my surface cleaning. It smells awful when I'm using it, but the smell goes away pretty quickly. I'd love to hear about some really good "smell good" cleaners though too because at least my husband would think I did something if it smelled good when he got home LOL!!!

I am a natural cleaner girl. I use vinegar for most things but I had some orange extract to it to make it smell better. I do use swiffers on the floor because they seem to be best for getting all the pet hair. After using vinegar for so long I can't stand the smell of other cleaners. They smell to "chemically" for me now.

Vinegar is definitely not going to make me more motivated to clean. LOL

i am trying to use more natural stuff too and method - but there's nothing that smells especially great to me ... but one thing that i do is burn some essential oils (like lavender or orange) when i clean - and spray my sheets/pillows with some homemade spray using the same essential oils .... yummy!

I clean with Vinegar alot and I disinfect with bleach.
I own but don't use very often
Windex
I use Mr Clean *orange smell* for the floors
and I'm addicted to febreeze lol

what is this cleaning thing you speak of?
lol...

I love the citrus-y smells and anything lavender and vanilla.
I don't clean that much tho, lol.

my go-to for a LOT of stuff is Pledge Multi-surface. It does mirrors and windows better than anything I've ever tried, it's safe on stainless steel and electronics. And it cleans off the bathroom counter and toilet without leaving residue. i :heartslub it!

and i hate the smell of cleaners, so i go with unscented or some sort of 'clean air' scent at most. same with laundry detergents... the smell in the detergent isle at the grocery makes me want to hurl.

I like to use vinegar just because I hate putting chemicals all over the place. I don't like the smell, but it doesn't last, so no biggie. My best friend is pine sol tho - I cannot get enough of the smell of that stuff, and I have to admit that is the only reason I even buy it. I like my house to smell yummy clean. For some reason, windex smells good to me too, but not nearly at the level of pine sol, lol.

I use the Method pink grapefruit cleaner. And i just started using Mr. Clean Gain scent for the floor. It always smells like I've been doing something productive. LOL.

Hubs does the actual cleaning of most things around here. I think he has commercial products that he got from a friend with a carpet cleaning business.

Since he can't clean before I have to wade through three or four inches of miscellaneous papers, random objects not in the right place, etc. from him and his rampant ADHD-ness that I put up and away, this arrangement seems to work out best for us. :giggle

I love Method. I can always tell when the cleaner uses the almond one on the wood surfaces. I walk in and the whole place smells like marzipan.

I love Fabuloso (i think that's the spelling). I buy that stuff by the gallon full....Sometimes I mop my downstairs (all tile) with it...other times bleach. I have to put it in my toilet bowls though...my bathroom can be dirty but I think it's clean if I pour some in!

what is this cleaning thing you speak of?
lol...
Seriously. What are cleaning products? :giggle

I'm NOT a cleaner, but sometimes I just gotta do it. :shrug I use Mrs. Meyer's All-Purpose Cleaner for, well, all-purpose cleaning. :) It's got a nice herby, lemony smell. I like it because it's made from essential oils instead of icky chemicals.

My go-to cleaner for sanitizing, especially the counter top after prepping raw meat, is vinegar and hydrogen peroxide. It's supposedly more effective at killing bacteria than even bleach. You just have to keep them in separate spray bottles and then spray them overtop each other for it to work.

Another great cleaner is Thieves Oil. It's made from essential oils and is antibacterial and antiviral. You can use it for all kinds of stuff but it's especially good at killing black mold, which is what I use it for when the stupid mold starts popping up on my windowsills. It has an interesting fragrance for a "cleaner"....It smells like cinnamon and cloves.

If any of you have suggestions about ways to get the house to clean itself, I'd love to hear them! Wouldn't that be nice? If only I could afford a maid. *sigh*

I have been cleaning like mad lately for my 1-2 showings a week, so I know a thing or two about cleaning! For my wood floors I use straight up vinegar in water with my mop. I do my countertops with an antibacterial spray - generally Mr. Clean. I love Windex and should buy stock in it - I am cleaning windows daily because of my big Weim and his nose! I love my Magic Erasers as well!!!

For laundry I made my own laundry soap and LOVE IT!!! Will be making it from now on!!! So I am pretty basic and I go thru a lot of cleaner I feel like with all my cleaning! I need to look into Norwex - people rave about it!
