Who wants to see some kitchen remodel progress pics?

So... my dad is a woodworker and so my parents came out to work on taking apart and piecing back together the repurposed kitchen cabinets we bought at the restore to fit our plans for our home renovation... they got all the bottom cabinets finished and Dad had to take home a few upper pieces to work on them... so the main task for the weekend was finished and they actually put in one of the new upper cabinets today before leaving...

So here is the before pic

here's the after pic

and here's a closer pic of the cabinet... I got a little ambitious and found some sample paint of the color we're painting the house and a little bit of our trim paint too... and painted the backsplash our trim color and the wall our wall color and that piece of rock is probably going to be the granite that we will be getting for the countertops

Thanks girls!!! It's gonna be like a whole new house when it's done and I seriously am looking forward to tearing down the wall and opening up the whole main floor and turning it into a great room so I can multi-task more easily LOL... now I understand why so many families do school in the dining room or kitchen LOL, it just makes life so much easier

No, we're totally redesigning the whole layout so we had to buy new cabinets in order to do that because we didn't have enough as is, plus, we're missing drawers and stuff and my Dad had to remake some... the house we bought was a major fixer upper LOL... and those are just painted cabinets that are in terrible shape and falling apart... and we're basically turning the kitchen, dining room and living room/school room into a great room...

That's going to be gorgeous! We do need more pictures as this progresses you know...

definitely... the next time we're working on them is the beginning of June, while I'm at a homeschooling convention, so I hope they remember to take pics for me LOL... next on the agenda is moving some electrical stuff around so that we can move the dishwasher when my Dad comes again... and possibly tear down the wall... and we may move the door too depending on how much our electrician friend can help
