Friday! What's on for the weekend?

TGIF! What do you have planned for this weekend?

My DH is taking off from work today, so we're planning a little family outing to a new aquarium that's opening here. Tonight, I am hoping for some wine and a funny movie. Tomorrow is the 4th annual Easter Egg hunt that I organize for the kids on my street, so I will be up early for it. (Keep your fingers crossed that we don't get rained out.) DH and I have a date night on Saturday and DD1 is going to see Titanic 3-D with her friends, so it will be a busy evening too. Sunday, of course, is Easter. We have services at church and then the traditional family dinner. I stood in line for a Honey Baked Ham yesterday so I only have sides and desserts to make. It should be a great weekend!

Laura, that sounds like a busy, yet fun, weekend!

We are going to try to finish building our fence this weekend. We'll have almost all day Saturday to work on it, if it doesn't rain. Then we have church, an egg hunt and lunch at the in-laws on Sunday.

Kids have off today b/c of Friday before Easter so I think I'm going to take them to the pool. We were going to go to the beach for the day but hubby got called in to work (which is a good thing- he's been hoping for an account with these people :clap). Sunday no big plans, I think we're just going to go out to have a nice breakfast/brunch with the kids. I picked up a few Vera Bradley items for Saige (a purse and a wallet which I'm going to embroider her names on if she wants me to) and Madison is getting some things he wants for his BMX bike. Low key this year which is nice. :D
Hope all of you ladies have a WONDERFUL EASTER!!! :bunny

We're meeting some family for lunch and swimming today. Then my nephews will be here tonight so the madness begins. Tomorrow we might go to Legoland. Sunday we have brunch at mom and dad's followed up with lunch with my husband's family. Should be a busy weekend. :)

I'm actually off today....since I've been working all these years, I don't remember ever being off for Good Friday so its kinda nice. We're going out to lunch today with my MIL and then we'll probably meet up with some friends for a couple of drinks and listen to a band tonight. Tomorrow we'll probably pick up food and goodies for Sunday and hoping to ride on the Harley. Sunday we'll have all the grandbabies over for a egg hunt and dinner. Just a big ol' family Easter day!!!!

Errands today, Girl Scouts tonight, DD is going for a private horseback riding lesson tomorrow since her group lesson is canceled for Sunday and then a BBQ with the friend giving the lesson, and hopefully time to dye eggs after. Sunday will be just the three of us hanging out doing Easter type stuff.

Oh fun, Laura!!! We love aquariums!!!

Tonight we'll go to the Good Friday service and Moriah will partake in her first communion since becoming a Christian :wub she's so excited and it's all she's talking about today

Saturday: Home Depot Kids Workshop and then we'll be putting together a little care package for our next door neighbor who had a house fire on Wednesday... and I need to go clothes shopping for Sunday since I won't be able to wear jeans like I usually wear and I don't quite fit into my pre-pregnancy clothes yet, even with Spanx LOL and then after dinner we'll make resurrection cookies before heading to bed for the kids... and I'll be heading to bed early too :)

Sunday: singing in two contemporary services on the worship team in the morning and then we'll crash in the afternoon... I might make a nice dinner for the evening if I'm up for it LOL, but I have a feeling I'll be crashing and we'll have an Easter egg hunt using our Resurrection eggs, I just hope I have the energy LOL... then I need to get ready for another week of homeschooling :wub

I just arrived in Texas... so tomorrow, we are going to buy some scrubs for my new job and some shoes and I'm trying to talk my husband into a zoo trip. He's saying no.
We'll also probably go see Hunger Games... I've been wanting to go since I finished reading the book. On my drive down yesterday, I listened to over half of the audiobook on my iPod. It helped the time go by.
I would really like to find a church nearby and go for Easter with my husband. He's not a church goer, well, neither am I really, but I've always liked going on Easter.

My kids are on the tail-end of their Spring Break... back to school on Monday. Easter weekend. No major plans. We're going to cook a ham in the slow-cooker on Sunday. No guests. Just us. We'll probably spend the day watching movies, eating, and catching up on laundry - after attending Easter Morning Mass, of course.

Hubby wants to do a family bicycle ride tomorrow - 40 miles, I think. Not sure if our younger pedal pushers will be up to it, although, they did almost 30 miles two weeks ago. Yes, bicycling is a huge family activity for us. We worked the kids up to these distances. The three and four year old are towed in a trailer. The six year old is on a tag-a-long. The nine year old (depending on the distance) rides on her own or tag-a-long. The 16 year old obviously pedals for himself and does pull one of the tag-a-longs.

We'll probably color eggs tonight. Nothing fancy. Maybe a movie on Netflix. I'll be frying fish tonight, at home, for the first time. Should be interesting.

Easter's on for this weekend. Dur.
:p

Tonight and most of tomorrow we will be braving the stores to go and buy all that Easter crap that we've not gotten yet... you know with having a new baby and all. ((Actually we're last minute Easter people every year. lol)) Sunday - church, then lunch/egg hunt at my mom's. She has a big to-do with it every year. We invite all close family and a lot of our good friends who have kids around my kiddos' ages. It's exciting because there will be THREE new babies there this year - two of which are new-new; Mason and my cousin's baby who was born literally a week after him.

I need to do some cooking tomorrow for Easter - which is a big to do in my family down at my aunt's farm. :) My aunt always has lots of funtivities planned - egg hunts, scavenger hunts, games for kids and the grown ups, too.

We're going to be pretty low-key. There has been so much going on with us lately, I begged DH to not to have the big family function on Sunday that we are normally responsible for having. He was okay with that, so we're off the hook. We're going to be coloring eggs tomorrow and I think my mom/sis/nephew are stopping by to pick up the basket I put together for Lucian. I need to get DD packing (or start packing for her). She's moving Tuesday and hasn't started packing yet. She thinks she's just going to put everything in her car, take it down the street to her apartment, unpack and then come back for the next load. I think she's insane. I am also really behind in schoolwork, so I'm sure I'll be spending some time doing that. Sunday will just be kinda quiet.

I hope everyone has a fabulous Easter. It looks like you all have nice plans. :)

I just arrived in Texas...
Glad to hear you made it safely!

Sigh, it's Easter weekend but I've got work to do. :( Blah. But anyway, tomorrow afternoon a friend is throwing the traditional Easter party, so we'll be stopping by. Vigil service tomorrow night. Then I'm staying home all day on Sunday (DH is singing in the choir that morning too), so I plan to get some work done then. I don't know I have it in me to work tomorrow, but I really should try because I am so behind. Not sure I will have much time to play with the BYOC nor with my Project Life album, and this makes me sad!

Heather, what are resurection cookies and resurection eggs? I am always looking for fun things to add to our Easter studies/activities that are not focused on bunnies, lol.

Tonight I am going shopping for the kids Easter basket and putting together the cards for their scavenger hunt. Also a bit of scrapping I hope. We'll also dye our eggs since we didn't do it yesterday as planned. Then tomorrow is an errand/relax/clean day. Sunday after church we'll go to my in-laws for dinner and have an Easter egg hunt.

We're going to take the boys to a movie tonight and eat dinner at Red Robin (my fav!).

Tomorrow we have baseball practice and a baptism. We'll prolly do an Easter Egg hunt tomorrow.

Sunday, after church, we'll get together with my hubby's large family where there will be over 20 kids that are all cousins to hang out and do the Easter egg stuff with and eat a feast. Should be fun!

We're at my parents' for the holiday, so today I went to Good Friday service at my old church and caught up with a friend, tomorrow is neighborhood egg hunt, dying eggs, and DH meeting up with us here, and Sunday is church, Easter Bunny visit courtesy of my mom and sister, and family dinner at my parents' house.

Happy Resurrection Day, y'all! :)

Yesterday was our annual Good Friday gathering with my cousins. They live a few states away from us. But each Spring break they take my youngest son for the week. They have 2 boys close in age to him and they get along great. Then on Good Friday, we meet somewhere mid-way to spend some time together and have fun. Then we get to bring my son back home! We met at an amusement park yesterday and it was great fun for everyone!

Today there is work to be done about the house. Church and a big breakfast in the morning, and all the Easter celebrating. And wham-bam the weekend is done!

They go by too fast! Everyone enjoy whatever you are doing this weekend!

well ce was supposed to have his first baseball practice of the season, but he woke up sick. it wasn't a mandatory one.. just a meet and greet the new kids type dealio.. he knows the couch already from last year so it's no bigs i guess. bummers though :[ so him being poopy is going to alter the weekend im sure :[

I spent yesterday making 8 dozen cupcakes for my little cupcake biz, decorated Easter eggs, and made a Easter dinner for my family. Today is pretty chill, kids are at Grandma's house and I am getting a little scrapbooking, designing, and cleaning done. Tomorrow we are going to have a big Easter breakfast and then off to a local farm for a Easter Egg Hunt. Monday it is off to the inlaws for another egg hunt, and dinner :)
