I'm having a crop at my house...

Tomorrow night and I'm sooooo excited!!! We usually go to Archivers' scrap mania, because they used to provide dinner and it was worth the price, but then they got rid of the dinner and lowered the cost but you got a store credit, so it was like going for free because I always needed to purchase something anyways lol... Now they got rid of the store credit and you still have to pay to reserve your spot, and still no dinner... So we decided that since I have a die cutting machine and lots of my own supplies that we would have it here...

Anyways, I'm so stoked... but at the same time I'm going a little crazy trying to get everything ready and also plan out what I wanna do since I'm going to turn off the Internet so I don't get distracted LOLOL

Sooooo.... What would you do? I have Asher's baby book that I haven't even started yet and should probably work on that lol... So I need to find some yummy baby kits to play with... and I'm caught up on Project Life, so it's looking like Asher's book is what I should do... He's 15 months now, sigh... They grow up too fast!!!

Oh, and if anyone local wants to come, let me know... I'd love it!!!

I'm western Chicago burbs :)

It would be awesome if you had an extra space at your table...I could definitely use the time to work on my Project Life. Getting ready to PM you.

for fun!! I should do something like this tomorrow night with my mom and sisters!! Good luck! I too need to work on my boys baby book!! He turns 1 next week and I am all sorts of behind on it!! Be sure to share your pages when you're done! I would love some inspiration!!

Oh and my favorite BABY baby (like brand new baby) kit is the "I'll Love You Forever" kit by Sahlin Studio! I use that kit ALL the time. Even for non baby related pages! It is great!! :)

Sounds like so much fun!!! I am going a crop on Saturday and I can't wait! :)

Oh fun Robin!!! What do you plan on working on?

Sarah, I just messaged you back... YAY!!!

Oh, thanks for the recommendation... it's adorable!!!

Yaaay so excited. We finally get to meet! Now I need to get printing so I actually have some photos to work with!

Sounds like so much fun, girls!

I don't get much done at crops, LOL. I work better alone in my craft room, I think. But then again, the last crop I went to was like 2004, so I have no idea how it would work for me now...

Well, I hope to get done some pages with some fun new CT goodies! :) I might bring my Smash book stuff with me, too! Sometimes I can get 10-12 pages done at a crop, but other times just 2. Depends on how much fun we're having!!!

Cool! Heather, so do you still paper scrap? Or do you just do your digi? What do you have planned - is there a structure to it or does everyone just work on what they want? I've actually only done a couple of crops (digi style) but those were like big conventions and I was taking classes and doing other events as well. I'm pretty curious about it though as I'm seriously planning a crop just for digi scrappers in Utah. Sounds like so much fun, you'll have to let us know how it goes!

Sounds like sooo much fun Heather!! I wish I was near you, I'd totally come - I'd love to meet some fellow scrappers!

I used to do paper... Moriah's book is all paper, Isaac's book is mostly paper but then a friend introduced me to digiscrapping and so his has some printed up digi layouts... Usually when I go to Archivers I either have printed up hybrid projects I want to work on and I cut, assemble and decorate at the crop, or I load up Mark's laptop and work on digi layouts... so I always have to request a table near an outlet and I just sit in the corner with the laptop and chug away at them and then print them up when I get home... I get lots of funny looks when I only bring the laptop LOL... but then I get lots of oooohs and ahhhhhs when I do a hybrid project LOL... they're all fascinated that my papers are actually printed up digital papers LOL

So... I'm gonna set up the dining room table downstairs with all my supplies and we'll just sit around the table and have fun... I'll have my computer near the table so I'm not left out ;) but we mostly gab and catch up since this is the only time we usually get together and we try to do it 2-3 times a year. I have a Cricut now so I might try to set that up and try to figure out how to use it and work on some hybrid projects too

the other girls usually work on baby albums or make cards... sometimes I'll make hybrid cards with them too :)

Sounds like so much fun! I didn't know you were near Chicago Heather! I'm not too far from you. I live just across the lake in SW Michigan!

I've done quite a few all day Saturday crops and lots of all-weekend scrapbooking retreats and I've always taken my laptop. At first everyone would crowd around and ask what on earth I was doing... that was before a lot of people had even heard of digital scrapbooking. Now it's in so many different forms that most people have heard it and the last one I went to, 3 of the 4 people at our table brought their laptops and were doing some form of digital scrapbooking. Yay!

I hope you have a fabulous time and get lots done!

That sounds like so much fun! I don't know anyone that scraps that lives near me, either paper or digi.
