*ahem* Amazon Prime, that is. I love prime for 2 day shipping because I am impatient that way, but I really like it for instant video as well. I just read that they've added Mythbusters and Cake Boss along with a whole bunch of other TLC, Discovery channel and Animal Planet shows. My life is complete. :beat

OMG! I was just contemplating on purchasing it today! Wierd! :thinking2

We have a Prime account, and we really like a lot of the perks that come with it. We order from Amazon a lot, so the 2-day shipping alone makes it worth it. But, I have been really frustrated with some of the things they've done like making Amazon Mom and Kindle Library Lending available only to people with Prime accounts. We had the Prime on my husband's account, and we had just barely renewed it when they introduced the Lending Library, which I couldn't use on my Kindle because the Prime wasn't on my account. Luckily, we were able to cancel DH's Prime and get our money back and put the Prime on my account. Of course, just a few months later, they changed the rules with Amazon Mom. We also had the Amazon Mom on DH's account, but now he didn't have the Prime, and I wasn't allowed to sign up for Amazon Mom. It's a convoluted mess, and it was really frustrating how they kept changing the rules and didn't take into account the fact that many households have more than one Amazon account, but they shouldn't have to have multiple Prime accounts.

ANYWAY - enough with my soapbox. We obviously like our Prime account, or we wouldn't have it. :) I haven't paid a lot of attention to the Instant Video yet, but I need to. :)

Prime here, too and have been for years. Couldn't live without two day shipping!

I keep meaning to check our tv to see if it's compatible! If not, it'll have to wait a bit ... I was thinking of cancelling our netflix instant play and switching over!

My DD has prime right now... hmmm... I guess I will have to be setting up my own in the future. I am totally impatient now and have to have the quick shipping. Especially for the PL supplies (that I still haven't used... bwahahahhahaa).

We are prime...we got it free for like a year and a half because Micah was a student and then when it was time to renew it was only like $39 which is totally worth it to me. We don't really use the video stuff because the last time I looked, it didn't seem like there was much on there that we would watch, maybe I need to check it out again!

is the lending library only for the actual Kindle device though?

Yes - you have to sign up for Prime on the same account that has a Kindle associated with it. Then you can borrow one book a month from the Lending Library. Only certain books are eligible to be loaned (I believe this is set by the publisher). There is no due date, but you can only have one book at a time, so you can't get a new one until you return the previous book.

I am Prime...I love it...my only beef is the one book per month limit in the lending library. Other than that totally worth every stinking penny!!

I am currently working my way thru all 8 seasons of Buffy the Vampire Slayer...it's great <3

LOVE Buffy!

We are Prime also. Just got it in the past year and can't ever go back to regular shipping, LOL. And having Prime means I can buy a $3 thing by itself and have it to me in 2 days. I think I've actually saved money with the Prime because now if I want to buy a $20 item I don't have to buy something else for $5 to get free shipping!

I've done the trial of prime at least twice when there was something I wanted for two day shipping and didn't want to pay for it. I haven't been able to make the leap to paying for the whole year yet. I have been thinking over the last month or so about cancelling our Netflix account and getting prime. I just read yesterday that they added a bunch of new shows to Prime and are working on getting more and more to compete with Netflix.

Ok so maybe I'll take the plunge :) Sounds like it's totally worth it!

Yep and I think now I'm going to get their 3% back credit card. I buy an insane amount of stuff on Amazon. lol

I am, and I love the 2 day shipping! Being a student, it was cheap too so totally worth it. I love Amazon!! I wish they had more scrapbooking supplies, but maybe it's better that they don't. :giggle I have a hard time buying in other places if there are shipping charges.

However, I have to admit I haven't watched videos yet! But then, I haven't been watching much of anything lately.

been trying to convince hubby after our Amazon Mom account ended... I really miss the 2 day shipping... I got too used to it and hate having to plan weeks in advance now for orders... and our tv is on the fritz so I don't know if it'll be worth it since we won't be able to buy a tv for awhile with our money being saved for the kitchen remodel, sigh...
