Lately, it seems like I've got a lot of friends that are selling different things via Home Parties. Years ago it was Tupperware and Home Interior parties. Just in the past 2 months I've been invited to 4 friends houses for '31' Parties and another friend is having a Premiere Jewelry party.

Are there any other types of Home Parties that you get invited to or know of?

I do attend my friends' parties but I've really got to control my spending so I usually just get a small little thing that I can use as a Christmas or birthday gift.

I was going to Silpada parties once a month, but that has slowed down for me. I haven't been to any home parties in at least 6 months since all of my lady friends moved away :(

I haven't been to a home party lately, but next week I have one to go to - it's called Life Expressions Decor! I believe it is locally owned here by me, but they have been real poprular! Basically before the party you pick a saying and color for your saying, and then at the party you get to paint a wooden sign and then put on the saying, so you are getting carfty at the party and making your own home decoration! You can also buy some that are already done. Anyway - I am excited for that one!

I need to go to a 31 party yet - such cute bags/totes!

Oh girl, I just looked at the Life Expressions website! That would be so much fun to attend one of those parties. And I bookmarked the site with the sayings as they would be cool titles for a scrap layout.

Haven't been to a Silpada party but their jewelry looks awesome. May have to check them out.

i've went to two parties last year - arbonne and stella dot. my SIL got me a necklace that i LOVE from a Jewel Kade party ..

I've never been to one! I'm not sure I'd enjoy it (I think I'd feel obligated to buy something..) but it would be fun to try once.

We do a lot of book parties at work and I've also been to several home parties- silpada, , party lite, Mary Kay, 31, tastefully simple ( that is HUGE around here), close to my heart, stampin up, there is a spa party too can't think of the name of that one right now. I enjoy them for the socialization more than anything.

My friends have them ALLL but the only ones I go to are Pampered Chef because I love their stuff. I buy a thing or 2 at each party. I'm happy, hostess is happy. lol

I'm actually having an Uppercase Living home party next Friday! :) It's decorative wall decals. I can't wait!

I love Pampered Chef and I wish they still did Body Shop parties.

We have a few different ones around here. For one, I sell Epicure products. You can check out what it is here:
www.epicureselesctions.com

I started selling it because I love the product. I don't do too many parties since I don't like to push, but the parties are a lot of fun because you get to sample the stuff you buy.

My friend recently started selling Scentsy products. I love the warmers since they use light bulbs instead of tea lights and their scents aren't too overpowering. I told her I would host a party for her. Plus the free stuff you get from these is awesome. We also have your regular Tupperware and pampered chef which I LOVE! We also have Everyday Style (home decor) as well as Lia Sophia (jewellery)

I used to sell Southern Living and Stampin' Up! and try to do those parties, but I am a horrible salesperson, so I ended up just buying everything myself. LOL. Although SL was nice because there wasn't a quarterly minimum, so I could just order things as gifts or whatever. Now it is called something like Willow House or something. I've lost track.

I do have to say that Pampered Chef has been my favorite. I bought a garlic press from them *years* ago and it is still working perfectly. Their products really seem to last. And that is saying a lot because I go through tons and tons of garlic. :D

My mom always used to try to get me to be a demonstrator for one of those "adult" home parties, but I don't think I could keep from laughing. :giggle

Has anyone been brave enough to go to one?

Yep! I've been to a few... They are generally entertaining and actually done in good taste. :)

I hosted a Party Lite candle party a few years ago and I got some nice jewelry at my SIL's Lia Sophia party last year. My favorite party was a Spa / BeautyControl party where we got to try a bunch of lotions and pampering products and drank good sangria! I still have a good supply from that one.

I LOVE that people can host parties online and I don't have to go play silly games LOL!!!! I think I ordered my Pampered Chef stone wear pan from Gina Miller's online party. And some friends of mine just started selling Oragami Owl jewelry and Jamberry Nail wraps. I am hooked on the wraps! I have to do a layout about my nails! :)

Kimberlee, I didn't realise Pampered Chef were in Australia!! I love their products!

I didn't go to many once I moved to Sydney. And there aren't any here that I am aware of. Though last week I did go to a shoe party, but it wasn't a home selling kind of thing. It was just an aqaintance getting a few ladies together with a shoe maker so you could get shoes made to order. There was no pressure but I bought 3 pairs!

The best home party I ever had was one we did several years ago (while I was still in California) it was an all day thing and friends made "appointments"... we had "glamour shots" taken in a studio put up in my living room! Man it was fun! The company that did it for us supplied the studio, photographer, some props, a hair dresser, a make up artist and all the leather jackets &feather boas a girl could want! I don't believe they're doing it any more but that was hands down the best home party I ever held!

The glamour shots one sounds like fun! The last one I was invited to was a Premier Jewelry one.
