Yes folks we have a tiny bit of snow and everything goes into chaos again lol,at work last night everyone was panic buying there shopping, today the roads are bad and my husband just text me to say he is stuck in a ditch in his big works van and waiting for recovery to get him out,at that point i think i was supposed to sympathise lol,God knows how we would manage with loads of snow

The same thing happens here when we get even a small amount of snow, because people aren't used to driving in it and we don't have equipment to clear the roads. The stores don't even carry snow shovels. Last year was pretty bad with the record breaking amounts of snow we got (which would have been a light winter for areas farther north). We haven't had anything at all yet this year.

I hope your husband got out and is safe and warm somewhere by now!

I was in the south once when they got like 1" of snow. I went out about my normal business, being from Detroit, only to find I was the only.person.out. Literally. Every store was closed even. I was totally confused. :rofl

I'm here in the south and believe me You. Do. Not. Want. To. Drive. In. The. Snow. Its not me that has the problem, its the rest of the idiots on the road. They either drive too fast for the conditions or drive so slow that they cause accidents. Its crazy so when there's a snow day for the kiddos, I stay home too!

BTW: This morning we're getting a little sleet but nothing should accumulate since the ground is still too warm. They didn't cancel school but I came in early today to avoid the crazies!

lol! It's funny that I actually know this because my cousin who recently married and Englishman (she is canadian) just flew over seas to visit her husband and commented on her FB that she felt like she was in Canada with all the snow that's there right now. lol!

LOL! You are too funny and yes I'm giggling! I'm a Wisconsin girl and so used the white stuff, that it takes 8+ to send us into panic. Good luck with that girl! :-)

so funny! the same thing would happen when I lived in Philadelphia... one inch of snow and everyone would stop. I loved it though, it was the best time for a trip to Target! LOL

We didn't get any snow yesterday, but it's still really aggravating her from the stuff left over from last weekend - it's barely got above freezing since then so it hasn't melted much. The main roads have been clear all week but my cul-de-sac is only just starting to clear and as I HATE driving in the snow I've not been out in the car all week. Haven't had anywhere I needed to be that I need the car to get to though so it's not a problem. The paths are becoming an icy mess though so I'll be glad when they finally thaw. Should reach the dizzy heights of 4 or 5 degrees C on Sunday so fingers crossed :)

Hate the way the country grinds to a halt in the snow but it doesn't sound like we're the only place!

We are facing possible snow this weekend. We'll be down to 10 degrees tomorrow. I do not drive on snow! Not even a little bit.

I want snow for like a week, but after that I'm done! And I'm ready for warm weather again. I don't think I'll get any down here in Florida anyways! :giggle

No snow here at all :( I feel rather cheated that the rest of the country has had loads!

yes it always cracks me up how different regions get all up in a tizzy over a slight dusting. *lol* we just go about our business, snow or not. good luck karen! maybe you can send your snow kate's way then you'll both be happy :)

It's funny, last year we got more than three feet of snow total in our area and this year it's been less than a foot. I bought these lovely snow boots for my daughter and she's only used them once! Crazy.

we would have to literally be "snowed in" to have them shut down anything in Utah. . .. when we have a big snow storm, my kids all hope to have school cancelled and I have to remind them. . .. that does't happen here, sorry! the snow plows would have to be snowed in!
