Valentine Decor... anyone?

My grandmother bought giant spools of ribbon, pulled the ribbon off the spools and just sort of floated it in those giant candy jars. She used various colors, so they looked layered. When I'd go to visit, she'd put my hair in a pony tail and just fish some ribbon out of the jar and cut it to length to tie the bow. IN case you can't find cotton candy :)

If you're looking for something cheap and easy to do with your kids, this was a big hit for my little ones last year. I know yours are older, but it could still be fun for them. I loved how it actually looked pretty and not like a preschool craft (probably because I did most of it)

I did a plain red one like theirs and a glittery one with mixed colors.

Thanks Sarah - just pinned it for future reference. :)

Oooh, I like this idea too!

Cristina: That is SO awesome!! I LOVE that! Where did you hang allo f those? In a living area? Or a hallway?

It's above our sofa, in the living room. :) Then this weekend I got inspired by one of the projects you posted, and made these:

:) I hung a few strands on a pretty cabinet we have in the kitchen, and the others are on my bulletin board. I have a feeling they won't be put away after Valentine's Day. :giggle
