Pad Patter 1/22 - Paint Colors

Thanks Jenny. I absolutely love walking into all of our rooms. In addition, our master is a greyish blue, the den is sort of an elephant grey (sounds VERY strange, but I love how it looks) and the spare room is a sage green. Out of all of them, I'm the least happy with the green. We should have gone darker, but I can live with it.

I love the colors in your rooms Julie!!!

I really want to paint my living room, maybe a light light green, but my kids say everything is a jungle in there and it needs to be a different color. I hve lots and lots of plants. So not sure what other color I might choose.

My bedroom is a grey/blue, too, and I am SO VERY in love with it. And I don't like blue, so that says a lot. Everything else is in black and white (black furniture, white with black damask comforter, etc). I am happy being in there.

Here's a picture of our living room and I'm trying to find a good one of our kitchen...

Here's one of our feature wall in the kitchen (you can see how it contrasts with the yellow (all of the colors are a tad deeper than they appear in the photos.)

Love the warm colors Leah! The yellow is great with the dark tones of the furniture and the dining room wall is fantastic!

Right now, the walls in my kitchen are kind of a bluish green that are palying off the undertones of my slate/stone backsplash. That color is also in the curtains the former homeowner had... it wasn't my choice but it looks awesome! I can how you a pic but it will have to wait until I get home later tonight. In my last house the colors was a browish beigey color and was very warm. I loved it! I've been known to have some neat colors in my houses. In my last house I had a completly orange room with dark brown flooring and brown and natural accents... it was my fav!

We painted our kitchen last year, a nice light grey. We have very old counter tops in red old metal cabinets in white. I really like how it turned out.
I love to read design blogs and such and guess what? White walls are back. But if you want color go for it! Do what makes you happy :) I have color in every other room - apple green dining room, BRIGHT yellow living room, light blue bedroom & office.
