Exactly what Rachel said.
I work with kids all day long and just need that break from everyone for a bit.

I love my family, but I too need some space sometimes. I definitely don't get one night a week...but I wouldn't complain if I did!

Pretty fortunate that I have some time for me but I do like at least one night a week where I can scrap without interruptions.

I voted for two - the first one is the minimum I require (but happens rarely). lol

*As long as I can get one night a week to myself, my personal space needs are met.
*When I’m with my family I’m there, but I need time for personal reflection.

I love my kids more than anything, I love my husband and my family and friends, but I need time to process life on my own too. It becomes very clear when Mommy hasn't had that time. lol

I think because my boys are now older, I have lots of "me" time. I can pretty much do what I want, when I want.

It definitely wasn't that way when they were younger though. It would be SO hard for me to go back to those days.

This is soooo me! I do need space but I don't always get it and if it's been a while mommy doesn't have as much patience anymore...

This is why I don't get enough sleep at night!

I'm a superintrovert who HAS to have time to myself every day. I can't function without alone time. Once DD is in bed and DH is either at work or in bed, I can relax, unwind, process the day, and prepare myself for another day of being 'on.'

Vacations/staying at my parents' house is always the worst b/c I'm expected to spend 24/7 doing vacation-y things with whomever I'm with. Ugh. I can only suffer through 3 days at the most without me time before I become a gigantic psycho hose beast. I just can't be 'on' that long without having time to recharge.

I would think with a hobby like this one where you can sit at home and be alone even when you're virtually interacting with people that your poll will show there are a lot of introverts/personal space-needing gals here.

This. The more I get used to being alone, the more I realize I like it.

Like LeeAndra, I need a lot of me time. I'm also a strong introvert and I need alone time to recharge. My DH and I have remodeled our living space around his strong extrovert needs and my strong introvert needs. I have a room in the back of the house that is just my space that I can retreat to in between activities with the kids or after their asleep. For him, we remodeled the garage into a full entertainment room including a mini kitchen and half bath. That's his space and he has friends over regularly. They don't have to come inside or interact with me at all. It works great for us!

This is one of the reasons I'm single! I need my space!!!! I don't like to share! I like my privacy and my quiet time. I really hope that I can get a place of my own in the next year (I live with my mom) so that I can have even more time to myself! :) I love my family and my friends, but I need time for me or I just go nuts! :)

I agree with most everyone here too. I love my me time!

I like my personal space - a lot. Don't get me wrong, I love my family - but I also like "me" time.

This is totally me too... Thankfully my family all seem to be the same way so on the weekends, unless we're doing something together, we all kind of go find our own space and do our own things. :)

I don't require nearly as much since I stopped smoking. I mean I completely miss it - those 5-10 minute breaks to myself where no kid is allowed to come out and bother me.
Now I just try to go to bed about 30-45 minutes earlier and use it to lay in bed and read while John plays his video games.

I need a fair amount of personal time. I'm pretty introspective and introverted and time to myself is something I NEED to be me, if that makes sense. I do treasure my family time though. :beat
